Hi my MMI system on 2004 A6 has gone dead, no power or functioning at all. Spoken to audi and they told me it could cost me £800. Any help from any one please.
No solution, same problem, but had many strange moments: 4 months ago during 100 kms or so it stopped, then suddenly came back, and worked ever since. A few days ago, it started happening again: NAV stuck, then radio dead, and gradually the rest disappeared. I did a Reset, and since that moment I see the intro-screen and then it goes black. Hitting the TEL button is somehow also a Reset...
Do the previous 2 posters have anything to report on this matter? It would be VERY welcome!
Thanks,
Jeff
10 to 1 it's the rear window sprinkler (or what's it called), of which the plastic hose is leaking (a lot). Avant-only of course, in the boot, at the left. I found a German website describing this problem:http://www.motor-talk.de/forum/endstufe-...
It also tells you to contact Audi for they know about the problem!! There has even been a call-back action (92B8 or so), where they would replace the hose by a better one. Still, every forum participant wonders why they every placed this plastic hose right above the amplifier and nav units...
Hope it helps you!

You can try to verify the MMI buttons sometimes they are stuck in
Same problem here:
My MMI, Nav, phone and CD are not working anymore. When I start the MMI (pressing e.g. nav key or volume key) I see after some seconds the Audi welcome logo on the screen. After a few seconds the screen goes dark, and there is no light on on the button panel. CD and nav have power (I can take the CD out).
Car: Audi A6 Avant 2.0TDI 2006
At a general service stations they could find error codes stored. Communication to NAV could not be established.
A phone call (on another phone) to the dealer resulted in the message that it is probably the phone module
Who can provide more info?
Thanks!
