I went out to warm it up,it started fine.When I came out to leave,it was dead.All of the instrument cluster lights were on but it wouldnt crank and i am not getting a fuel pump.I checked the battery,all of the fuses and relays.I replaced the ignition switch,still nothing.Ichecked for power at the starter relay,fuel pump relay and ASD relay.I have power to all of them on 2 pins.I even have power to the yellow start wire on the starter relay when I turn the key to start.Im not getting any crank or fuel pump.I can jump the starter relay and make it crank,and can also jump the fuel pump relay and get a fuel pump,I just cant make them do it from the key.I checked for a burnt or corroded ground wire or a fusible link but the ones I can get to are all good.Is their more fusible links?Everything in the car works as it should.Any Ideas?Im very mechanically inclined so I can do some tests.I know Im just missing something.Maby the Park/neutral switch,but wouldnt the fuel pump still run?Maby the PCM?

starter dead is just 6 causes posted her 1000 times and 1million times if you googled why is my starter dead

yous said jump starts fail but no words at all is the starter motor dead silent.
I can push start my car but it has a manual transmission.
all IP cluster freeze when engine dies and goes to self test mode , glows lamps.
scan the PCM now and it tells you what failed with DTC error as you crank any dead engine.

causes
battery cables lugs loose or rusty cleanm em.
1:battery is bad, charger it up first or replace it if charging fails or load test fails (those are TOOLS)
2: fuse blown. to IGN switch (check all fuses if savvy)
3: IMMO lamp not unhappy, bad key, lost 2nd spare key? oops. but cuts spark and confuses many.
4: keyswitch bad ST pin failing and BAD.
5: PRNDL switch bad (a/t box) shift tO N=neutral and turn key to ST crank position, cured?
6: starter relay bad.
7: starter motor dead and bad.
8: all wires connecting all this up above bad (we use a volt meter) to find all these.

THE STARTER MOTOR CAN BE HOT-WIRED TESTED IN-SITU, AND TESTED KEYS IN POCKET SAFE.
POSTED VAST TIMES THIS) OR ASK HOW. OR GET THE CAR SERVICED, BY FOLKS THAT KNOW HOW.

CRANKS AND WILL NOT START (50 CAUSES)
OR WILL NOT CRANK (SURE IT CANT START)AND 6 CAUSES, BUT MINE PUSH STARTS ANY DAY.

IF THE STARTER MOTOR IS SILENT SAY SO
OR SAY IT CLICKS ONLY OR CHATTERS ONLY.
THE DEAF HELPERS CAN NOT HEAR YOUR STARTER , EVER. UNLESS VIDEO OF IT POSTED WOW..

use a scan tool to reset the ECM and CPU program
the dead battery has probably corrupted the program

When you turn the key to the start position does the starter spin the engine ? The engine cranks no start ! Or nothing happens when you the key to start position ? no crank no start ? Is the anti-theft light lit on the instrument cluster (SECURITY) ? If the starter spins the engine does spin slow or normally ? Is there spark , fuel pressure ? Testing these thing's would be the place to start if the engine spins ! Videos on youtube showing how !

There are a total of six fuses that control exterior lights and dash lights. Check all of these Fuses: 10, 21, 3, 7, 13, 33

The problem is your instrument cluster. Your type of vehicle is notorious for the instrument cluster failing. It will need replaced, or rebuilt.

THESE ARE POSSIBLE CAUSES TO YOUR PROBLEM. CLASS 2 CIRCUIT IS OPEN SHORTED TO GROUND OR TO B+. THE PCM IGNITION POWER CIRCUITS HAS A HIGH RESISTANCE CONDITION. THE PCM MAIN GROUND CIRCUITS HAS A HIGH RESISTANCE CONDITION. THE SDM MODULE COULD BE SHORTED PULLING THE VOLTAGE LOW. THIS MORE LIKELY DEALERSHIP FIX.

they r under the hood in the fuse box take top off turn over an it tells u what fuse r what.

Replaced once before and still periodically happens. Disconnect battery and reconnect and it starts working on our voyager.

very well could be due to anti theft issue. i don't recall the keys getting locked in the ignition from this though. try turning the key to the on postion- not cranking and leave it there for 15 min, then turn back off. do this three times. you may get a blinking light on the dash- don't worry about it. on the fourth try and start it. what you are doing is telling the alarm- i have the proper keys so let me take my car!

you meant its a NO CRANK engine.
silent starter, say the word silent.
even the starter relay must click.
and if head lamps die, so will be the starter.
due to a dead battery,
sounds like a bad battery to me. dead or only
DISCHARGED.
if the Charge/battery lamp is off in the cluster driving. its ok. the alternator.

only live jumps matter. or you go know where.
if you want to walmart they have tool there that
tests the alternator
battery
and for phantom drains all in 6 min work, the tool does all the work.

if the battery is charged, it will crank I bet
its discharging.
for 1 of 3 reasons.
1: its bad.
2: the charge system is dead.
3: phantom drains, it goes dead as you sleep
the head lamps dead is the big clue there.
