Im guessing you are refering to the heater core? its located under the dash but is wrapped in all sorts of plastic. the plastic is bolted together and its a very tedious task removing all that plastic and bolts to get to it. once its visible theres 2 heater hoses going through the firewall that can be accessed through the engine compartment, the rubber hoses need to be removed. once all that is done it should slide out and you can slide the new one in and reassemble.

SOURCE: saturn sl2 emissin problem

If the SES light is on, take a paper clip bend it in a u-shape and jump the scanner input positions A B. This should flash the ses in sequesces to give you the trouble code, Please see the following link. http://www.troublecodes.net/GM/ Refer to the code to see what the issue may be. SES lit means that there is a emmissions related issue. Refer to the other links for additonal information on O2 sensor resistance, and the egr valve solinoid. Check the EGR is relitive easy for operation. Remove the vaccum hose and place a hose of similar suckon the hose to pull vaccum if the diafram underneith retracts, hold the vaccum by plugging off the tube with your touge if the diafram retracts, will not hold the vaccum, it is bad. The solinoid should read 40-60 ohms if good. http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/index.php http://www.aldlcable.com/sc/pages.asp?pageid=21

SOURCE: 1991 saturn sl2 water pump replacement

well first you drain the coolant out at the low point on the radiator, that way it is saved if new. then you take off the right front wheel and remove the plastic access cover from behind the wheel to get to that side of the engine. then you take off the serpentine belt and etc. yes you can do this with the engine still in the car. you may want to consider replacing the serpentine belt and tensioner while you are in that area.

SOURCE: I have a 1997 Saturn SL2. I have no heat. We

It is your heater core, there is nothing else left.

The heater housing is usually under the dash, and it must be removed to gain access to the heater core.Procedures for removing a dash, and heater core vary. But for the core:
The heater housing must be removed, and then you
"remove the panels" or "split the case"1c3d50c.gif (Usually screwed together.)
Remove the coolant hoses, the cable and vacuum control line.
Remove the heater core bracket and clamps.
To install the new heater core, reverse the removal steps.
Core leaks **** because of the core's location deep within the firewall/ dashboard of the car.
So remember to liquid test your new one before you put it back in, or you could be sorry.

1995 saturn sl2 heater blows but doesn't get hot

Could be several things. First, when car is fully warmed up, open hood and feel your two heater hoses coming out of firewall. Make sure your heater control is on hot, both hoses should feel hot. If only one is hot, your heater core inside heater case is either restricting flow (clogged) or an air pocket is restricting flow in your coolant(need to "burp" system-get all the air out of your cooling system) . If heater core is good, and circulating good, then you may have a temp. control door that is inoperative under dash, and not allowing air to move over your heater core. Good luck.

Saturn SL2 lost power, then came back on

Hopefully it is only your fuel filter needing to be replace, or worse your fuel pump may need replacement. Check the fuel pressure on the fuel injector rail. You can use a tire pressure gauge, but wear eye protection, make sure the engine is off but ignition switch turned all the way toward start, and be careful you don't get sprayed.

Clik, clik on the rigth side when making turn need to know what to avoid, and possible short cut to replace c/v joints [axle] on both side of 1995 saturn sl2 [automatic].thank you much.

There really is no short cut....you need to replace the half-axle on the right side (will get both inner and outer CV joints). Is driveable with noise, but may eventually fall apart.
