SOURCE: Replacing speakers in Mitsubishi Galant

If the car is an 03 galant it is very simple to remove.
DRIVER SIDE:
Remove the window crank if it is not Electric Window.
Remove the Screw that holds the "Open Door Handle" cover.
Remove the Screw that holds the "Pull Handle Pocket"
Remove both plastic covers.
Remove all 3 hidden crews that have a plastic cover over them.
One is toward the front of the door top and the other two are toward the rear of the door top and bottom side.
Carefully pry around the door trim panel to disengage it from th retaining clips, along the sides and bottom. If you have electric windows, disconnect the if from the door trim to access the speaker. Same procedure for both doors.

SOURCE: window motor replace 2001 jeep grand cherokee

You need to remove all the skrews from the door. Normaly there is one in the handle of the door, one behind the in door lach handel and one under the bump out for the arm rest on the door. Than you need to take a flat head skrew driver slowly priying the panel off. There are plastic clips on the backside of the panel it is ok if you brake a few.

SOURCE: How to remove rear door panel on 2001 continental?

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

Where is power relay passenger window 2001 dakota xlt

if it was the relay all the windows would not work, that being said now lets try to find it so I am going to assume that you've tried both window switches the drivers master and the passenger door and no luck if you take off the door panel on the passenger door and run a hot wire to the window motors connector and if the window functions we have a bad switch contact on the master and possibly the passenger door disconnect the plugs and clean them and if the switches can be taken apart clean the inside of corrosion and re grease with carbon conductive grease or w d 40 /p b blaster if you have no window function when you do the hot wire and ground connection then the motor is bad and must be replaced

Remove and replace drivers side power window switch

I am assuming its the drivers door window you are speaking of....
The drivers door has the master window switch w/lockout. The entire assembly must be replaced. The individual switches on the drivers door can't be replaced by themselves. Some GM vehicles allow the panel with the switch assembly to be removed without removing the door panel. However, most require the door panel to be removed for access to the window switch assembly. The master door/window switch assembly is not cheap, by the way.
I would check/replace the window relay first. Usually located under the dash, or under one of the seats.
Might just be the window motor on the problem window.

I have a galant 2001 and the passenger window wont work. It was working great and then stop and then started working again and now its just dead. Any idea what it might be?

It can be the switch or the motor, as long as it is getting power. If the switch at the door goes bad, the master switch may also not work, even though it still may be good, and vise versa. The switch goes bad more often then the motor. When the motor and track assembly go bad, you can usually hear the motor turning, but the window doesn't go up and down. Since you mentioned that it worked and stopped and worked again, though it still could be the motor, I would start with the switches. You can buy them on eBay for about half the cost you would pay at the dealer. If you have someone that can check things out a little, I would have then check for power to the motor and both switches. You can usually substitute a switch from another door to eliminate the possibility that that switch is bad. Hope this help. Good luck and have a nice evening. Peter

Removal of passenger door panel on 2001 Galant

simple there are 4 or 5 screws you need to remove. Sit in the car and facing the door panel theres one in the coin pocket, another in the door handle( you have to hold the handle out to get to this screw) one one the top left and two more on the right of the panel ( your car may have the last 3 screws exposed already if not they look like two plastic dots and you need to open them with your finger or a flat head) make sure all the screws are out and then grab the whole panel from the bottom and it pull it up and towards you. it pops right out theres maybe 8-10 or these points that need to be popped off then the panel will hang from the window trim then just pull it up carefully. Careful now the panel will be just hanging by the power door lock electric plug. unplug it and your good to go. Follow in reverse these instructions to replace panel.

at the bottom and top of the switch there are retaining tabs. you can try to pop it out at those points with a flathead screw driver, but it is sometimes easier to just remove the door panel to get it out.

Sounds Like the motor remove the door panel and make sure it is plugged in properly also at the switch. then if they are ok you will have to check to make sure you have power and ground at the motor when operating the switch. if you have both then you will need a motor. the power and ground at the motor will alternate dependeing on which way you have the switch make sure you check for both in up and down postions
Hope this helps
