Peugeot 209 pulls hard to right under power. I heard a knocking noise from the front right wheel area earlier that morning. Can anyone give any indication what might be wrong please?

sounds like wheel bearing, jack wheel up, an see if there is any free play, by trying to move wheel side to side

I had this same problem and the dealer could not reproduce the noise when I would take it in to get looked at. (during the day when the temperature was warm) So I decided to leave it over night and they test drove it in the morning when the temperature was cold and they heard the noise. It ended up bing the steering rack.

Sounds like the Spring may be broken or there is another loose front end part such as a ball joint or a spring seat or something like that.

I had a broken spring on my 1990 Cadillac Deville and didn't know it until looking at it up under the wheel, and experiencing a popping or knocking sound when turning.

It could also be the bearing cap area problem.

I has a clicking/knocking noise on one of my 407 (54 plate) front wheels after a change of brake pads. On investigation I found that the bracket to which the caliper hydraulic hose was fixed (at the lower end of the suspension strut) had been bent downward and was catching the CV boot clip. I bent it back up and the noise went. It is possible (if the brake caliper is not supported during pad change) to bend the bracket supporting the hydraulic hose. It could also interfere with the ABS wheel sensor bracket - check. Simply jack-up and support the car on the side with the noise and turn the wheel by hand to see what gives (don't go under the car until it is supported safely)..

The Obvious: You have something broken in the front end. What to do: get yourself under there and take a look at everything. Anything that looks amiss probably is. Jack both front wheels off the ground... lie down where the vehicle can't fall on you and have someone turn the wheels back and forth. Look and see what's preventing travel. If it's that bad, it shouldn't be that hard to find!

could be a c/v joint on the end of your drive shaft on a front bushing gone does it only do it on one side ????

if noise is heard when taking off from stop turning wheel sharp right or left replace axle.What ever side noise is coming from.

maybe cv joints. check cv boots to see if torn or look out for grease marks in the area behind front wheel. This would be more clicking noise though and not banging.
