Number one reason the rear sags in a air suspension expedition is because of a 5 dollar or so relay. Their is a TSB addressing this issue with the relay being the fix

Number 2 reason is the compressor is bad.

I bought two compressors before the dealer told me I had a bunch of holes in the air lines. I took my money elsewhere and found Strutmaters.com. I saved time and had a no air kit sent to my mechanic. I saved money too, my kit was half what I would have to pay to fix the air ride. My car is fixed and has been riding great again! Tks to Strutmasters.

Air compressor under hood may be bad, or the air bag module for the air bags. Very expensive to repair. $900-$1200

SOURCE: air suspension went out

All things are possible, it's more how much, not can I these days.
I would contact one or more of the big name auto parts stores and see what shocks and or kits they have to offer.

This way you can decide what solution suits your needs and your budget.

Hope this is of some help.

LOW RIDER, LOW COST!!!

I love cars and i know you do too. We make our cars beautiful, fast and reliable because it represents us. Some of the car modifiers makes their cars/trucks very high because thats what they want and we cant do nothing bout that because its their choice and Some loves their cars very low, extremely low and as i said, its their choice and thats what makes them happy. THAT MAKES ME HAPPY. im a low rider myself and i dont spend too much on buying some after market suspensions, i know lot of people buys lowering springs, coil overs, adjustables, etc. just to make their cars low but im a smart spender myself. so i do some looking good ride on a low cost. So here's what i do for making my car low without buying expensive stuffs.

1. get your jacks ready.
2. remember to pull the hand brakes for you are bout to lift a car
3 make sure that the car is in a flat surface
4. loosen the nut of the wheels a little but dont remove it yet
5. start jacking the car to the height that you can have enough space
to pull the wheels
6. let loose of the nuts and pull the wheels after jacking it
7. loosen the nut of the shock absorbers but dont remove it yet
8. loosen the 3 small nuts but dont remove it yet
9. loosen the 2 big bolts that holds the shocks and suspension
10. now you can let loose of the 3 small nuts underneath the hood
11. pull the shocks outside for you are bout to remove the spring
12. use a tensioner or steel wires to hold the string
13. remember to tie the strings tightly for it has a big force
14. once tighten remove the shock absorbers
15. separate the springs from the shock absorbers
16. cut the upper part of the spring for bout 2 inches or on how low do you
prefer
17. take your shock absorber to a machine shop near you and have it cut
to 2 inches and re thread it
18. then you can put the shocks together again
19. install your tricked shocks and see the difference and feel the savings

NOTE: i advised to cut and re thread the shock absorbers so that it can perform well even its low.

The right front end; the wheel jumped and made a shnap sound and fell (the wheel well) and now sit on the tire like a low rider. its a 95 awd safari

You have broken the suspension on your Safari. Or it is the axle. If you look under there you will see what is wrong with it.

The air ride suspension on my 2005 navigator is not working is there a manual switch to turn it on?

Have you had anyone to jack the car up. if so the could have turned off the switch, which is usually located pass. side under dash area. If it's on, then the relay may be bad. If it has air ride, it has a manual switch to prevent your suspension from riding high or having air bags that make the car look like a low rider. Anytime it is jacked up, turn this switch off.

What should i expect to pay to replace the rear struts? my envoy drops in the rear making mommy's car look like a low rider. it comes up once i turn on engine, but it's slow to do so.

You car has air ride suspension. The problem may or may not be the air springs, there are no "struts", have a shop check them for leaks.

Check engine light , check suspension

My towncar is doing the same. It actually started about 6 months ago with the fuel light, which turned out to be no problem, just some air in the line. My air bags did go out last week, so it looks like I have a low rider right now:) I'm in the process of converting from air bags to springs. I had the back airbags replaced but then the dang compressor went out and I don't have the money to replace that. The check air suspension light will stay on right before you have to replace the airbags. Turn your car off then on and if it takes a little while for the light to come back on you have a few weeks to go before it goes out completely. Oh and it is a real easy fix. Its gonna cost about 200 bucks for each airbag, but if you convert it to spring it will cost about 150 in parts.

Rear suspension stuck down. 96 crown victoria

these cars try to compensate for weight so the car will deflat the system to lower the rear when jacked up so when you put the car back down it almost touches the ground like a low rider, i think this is what you mean by suspension stuck down?? so all you have to do is start it. it should automatically adjust its self to the right inflation.bringing the car back up to position

2004 jeep liberty front suspension seems to lock up front tires while making a turn WTF????????

Sounds like the tires are hitting the wheel wells. THis is Deadly.

Do you have oversize tires on the Jeep? Is your front axle drive engaged? Is it slung low to the ground like a low-rider? Any of these can cause 'lockup' in the front end when turning. If not, I would have the U-joints, CV joints and drive linkages checked.
