You do not say what design 3 series; but for E36 with electric seat adjustment, Odometer Gears (link below), makes replacement gears for the electric seats for approximately $40 each. This is the part that typically wears/breaks for seat reclining.

The model noted is an older 318is, (the E30 model), but since it is the exact same engine, the guide notes the changes with your model year BMW. Hi i have just put the rear bar anf front bar form a e36 convert on my saloon that i got from the scrap yard the other week and they fit fine for me..... i hope this helps you.

No, as far as I now there are no panels, doors, bonnet/hood, boot/trunk the same between the 2 door E36 Coupe & the four door E36 Saloon!

After failing to enter the correct code in 3 successive tries, you must leave the key in the "ignition on" position with the radio on. This will allow you 3 more tries to reset the 5 digit code.
If you enter an erroneous digit, you must complete the 5 digit code, even though it is wrong. You have 2 more attempts to enter the correct code.
