the problem if from the map sensor.. when you change it it will run rough and keep cutting off,, keep stating it back and reeving over and over as soon as it cuts off again keep repeating until the CPU gets calibrated with the new sensor and it starts idling smoothly..
what is the fuel pressure with key on and engine off? since you mentioned spider injector assembly it has to be a vortec engine that requires 55psi to open the poppet valve in the injectors just to start.
Did you change the filter? Can you hear the pump cut in for a few seconds when you first turn the key the "run" position? If you can'r hear it, you may want to check fuses and power wires to the pump.
I have a 90 chevy k1500 350 tbi with same problem! I have traced problem to... after turning on key fuel pump kicks on when u crank it over injectors shoot gas and truck starts! After few seconds injectors stop spraying and truck dies! This can happen many times over and over! Eventually sometimes truck stays running and all is great! I changed ignition module, oil pressure sending unit (which i was told controls gas after vehicle is running) fuel filter, computer, fuel pump relay, I am at a loss now! Hope this helps and hope someone can help me!
if your mini van has a 4.3 litre engine v6, when you turn the key on you should be able to hear the electric fuel pump start. the fuel pump is inside the gas tank,if you hear the pump you might want to change the fuel filter. The thing about computerized engines and a throttlebody is that you need a fully charged battery to start work with.
