My maintance light is on and wont turn off even if I disconect the battery, why

turn ignition on and press fob 3 to 4 times. then turn off ignition and close door and lock door with the fob and open door then try to start engine. should've reprogram the immobilizer again then. if not your chip or ring that reads the chip in the ignition is not working.

1. the car drain's the battery even when it is not started or the key isn't in ignicion, the car has a electrical problem, you left a light, the starter could drain it, the alternator as well, or a bad radio is draining the battery even with no key in the ignicion,
2 it's a bad battery (discharges it self by beeing counicated inside).

solucion 1. to see if the car is drainin the battery would be by disconecting a battery termina and see if discharges again, if not, then the car drain's the battery.

solucion 2. if the battery discharges even when if it's disconected from the car, then change the battery.

warning, the first cause coul'd induce to a self discharging battery. even if you changed the battery, do a litle monitoring to be sure it's not the car that is turning the battery bad. how? if you install a new battery, leave the car for a few days (i mean do not start the car) and see if the battery discharges, if so, then you have to search what is draining the battery (that could be a very costly work, time and money and complicated). or put a ''battery disconector'' so the car cannot discharge the battery.

The headlight switch is broke probably should just replace it im sure its not exspensive

The brake lights switch is located on, or activated by the brake pedal.

Seems it needs to be adjusted or replaced.

you have to disconect the battery and leave it disconected for around a half and hour and then you can remove the air bag. Do not hook Battery back up untill it is all put back together

Someone put the wrong key (resistor value) in the ignition lock, you will have to disconect the battery for 3 min. Make sure you have the right key. Very important! Make sure the climate control is off before disconecting/conecting the battery.

hold select and reset then turn on ignition while continuing to hold until light goes off

No we have not found a solution, as our car is a SEAT Cordoba, not JETTE, because you dont have SEAT Cordoba on your list of cars, possibly because your website is US based, and you dont have SEAT,s in the US

If you have checked your battery voltage and it is registering 12.4 volts then the battery should be good enough to start the engine. However, if the battery is 4 to 5 years old, it may be getting "tired".
I would recommend removing the battery cables from the battery, cleaning the terminals and posts, reconnecting the cables making certain they are tightened securly.
Start there and let me know.
If this is not a "maintance free" battery, check the water level under the caps. The level should be just above the plates.

disconect the batterie cables and scratch and clean very wheel even if they look ok and make sure any aftermarket alarm is disable and even if batterie looks good try to jump start the van
