Good chance it's the resistor . Will be in circuit between switch and blower, usual locations are on ducting under dash on passenger side, or behind glove box. Locate wires coming from blower motor, and follow them back to resistor.

Testimonial: "Thanks, I'll try replacing the resistor."

1998 chevy k1500 vortec 305, high idle, surges a lil bit, new plugs cap and rotor, coolant temp sensor, any suggestions, bad tps cause this, or intake leak confused help, love the truck, runs rich i can...

TPS probably not cause surging idle. Could be IAC motor, could be MAF sensor. If you dont have a check engine light I would be thinking IAC motor.

Fan only works on high on 1995 Chevy K1500. I tried replacing the relay(?) behind the glovebox, but no change.

The blower motor resistor is the culprit.Usually is located near the blower motor.Generally an inexpensive repair. However it is possible that the blower motor may have caused the resistor to burn out.

1997 Chevy S10 pickup Fan switch for heater runs on high only.

replace the blower motor resistor located on the heater box were the blower motor is located the wiring to the blower may go to it. This is very easy to locate if you buy the part first.
