1. Release fuel pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and spinning the engine over.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Open the fuel filler lid and remove the fuel filler cap at relieve the pressure in the fuel tank.
4. Remove the rear seat cushion.
5. Remove the inspection hole cover located under the rear seat cushion by rotating the attaching clips 90 degrees to line them up for removal.
6. Disconnect the fuel pump assembly electrical connector.
7. Disconnect the fuel feed hose quick connector. You will need to push in the winged tabs at the end of the fuel line. Be careful not to break it.

How to change a 2005 nissan sentra fuel pressure regulator

If you want to replace the fuel pump regulator you are better off getting the whole fuel pump module I know its expensive. The problem is you went on line and there is a bunch of chatter about the fuel pump causing delayed starts. They are right. There is a TSB Nissan put out this includes the fuel pump and there is no mention of the regulator that I know of.

whats the new code? is it the same o2 sensor? you could have a vacuum leak causing it to set the same code. is your air filter clean? whens the last time you changed the fuel filter? had plugs installed in a long time? start with these items. they could all effect your fuel mileage. hope this helps
