Hi, this sounds like a voltage issue to me. Did all the lights go out on the dash, including the check engine light. Your best bet is to get the fault codes read at a local garage (not the main dealer unless you have money to burn). They should be able to give you indication of what caused the light to come on and you can take it from there.

Check engine light came on today on my 2002 Saab 9-5 2.3 Turbo. I have no clue why? Also, when I started it up this morning it said on the display [REAR LIGHT FAILURE]. Any solutions?

The simple one, you have a rear light blown. As for the check the engine light "you would need to get the code checked, that any Saab dealer can get by plugging a device into your car, and from there the problem will be narrowed down" sorry I cant be more specific but that light can come on for a multitude of reasons. :-(

1999 saab 95 speedometer not working, abs and check engin light comes on

You will need to have your car's ECM (Computer) read by a OBD II scanner to determine what Trouble Code your ECM is giving so a mechanic can properly diagnose the problem. You can go to your local AutoZone store and they can pull the codes out of your ECM for no charge.
