Whenever I let my 2010 toyota camry sit for several hours, it makes a winding noise and idles high when I first start it up. What could be causing this.

starter problem

.if noise is very audible
have starter checked over or rebuilt or replace

motor idle is controlled by the idle control sensor ( IAC) and can be cleaned

I think my transmission is going out! while the car is in drive it has slow movement and is making a loud winding noise is that the problem and suggestions?

The transmission has failed, the only solution is to remove it from the car and have it rebuilt or exchanged

In the 1993 pajero when we are gaining speed from about 40 km it starts a high pitch winding noise from the front end very loud in the car its not wheel bearings kinda sounds like the gearbox so i dunno...

Tip:Jack car off all four wheels Disconect all accessary belts to isolate problem, Dont forget to start it,HA reproduce condition speed & use garden hose as a listening device to isolate problem.& let me know good luck & keep posted

1993 Nissan 300zx non turbo: my car makes a stange growling noise when it's cold. once it warms up it goes away. I'm guessing it's an exhaust problem. What is making that noise and how do I fix it?

could realy be any thing , im assuming it probley goes away in 5 minutes. remeber your car is a 1993. lots of old parts metal and plastic if its running okay and its not realy a problem its just an old car i would sugest checking the entire exaust system especialy the hangers

Why does my previa squeal when i hit 70 mph

could be wind noise, do you have a roof rack. turn the door mirror inward and try down the road, check generator belt !! good luck.

Its not a wheel berring i done changed that

its the bearing in the differential i'm affraid you can temperarily quieten the noise by spraying loads of lube into it but a new bearing (if not a seald diff) is a most definate
