How can I hook up my Ipod to the radio system inexpensively

If you don't have a cassette player, you can purchase an ipod/RCA adapter cable for about $10 and plug it into your aux inputs in the rear. The cable has one end that fits into your ipod headphone plug and the other end is a white and red pair of plugs (called RCA plugs)that will plug into the rear inputs.

I want to hook my IPod directly to the aux port of my radio and I want it to charge the iPod as well as play the music. Is there a cable that does both music input and power charging? I have a 2001 Tahoe...

You can get a Peripheral PXDX and connect it to you AUX port on the back of you radio. The interface can be tucked behind the dash with the docking cable being the only part hanging out-to connect your ipod to. You can change songs from your radio control head-or steering wheel controls-if your vehicle has them. The docking station charges your Ipod while it's connected. Peripheral has a website you can read about the interfaces. They are available on ebay for under $100. I have the interface in two of my vehicles. The only problem is, you can't see which track is playing on your radio, but you are able to skip through tracks either by Ipod control or radio head.

2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue w/ bose stereo how to hook up Ipod

I woudnt reccomend a direct feed to your system unless it has a input on the stereo such as a aux in with an 1/8" plug. The other reccomended way is from an FM transmitter that plugs in to your Ipod and brodcasts it to your car stereo. They work great and you wouldnt know theye are not hard wired. Walmart, Radio Shack all have these transmitters. If your stereo does have an aux in with an 8th inch plug on it then simply go to radio shack and get a 1/8" male to 1/8th male stereo adapter and plug it in. Wiring the ipod without these two features will destroy both the ipod and car stereo as it creates a loop feedback against each other.

I was given an Ipod Touch for my Bday and I want to use it in my 2006 Honda Odyssey EX. The radio has an AUX/XM button but I can't locate the input for the AUX. Would you be able to tell me where the input...

There are 2 possibilities here:
Most Odysseys I've seen, have a small compartment on the left side of the third row that opens up to show a set of inputs (Audio and Video) as well as 3 headphone jacks with volume control.

WHat I did for mine was I purchased an extra long RCA audio cable on one side and a Stereo mini-plug on the other. I connected it back there where mentioned. Then I routed the cable under the rear door plastic plate and under the driver's seat, where it reappears under the center table.

Whenever I want to connect my iPod Touch, I just grab the plug, connect my iPod then raise the volume of the iPod all the way to the max, put the radio in XM/AUX and play away.

2) The second way to do this is a bit more complex, and will be the needed way if you do not have the A/V connectors in the back:
You will need to pull out the radio and the auxiliary connections should be in the back of the radio, or connected to the main radio plug.

I would recommend taking the van to an audio shop to do this installation.

Hope this helps!
