Starting problem for 1999 Lexus GS300

Hi, My car has about 129K miles on it. I took it to a local Firestone for an Oil Change about 2 weeks ago. After that the car does not start in the morning until: I put the key and turn it all the way (but not crank it) After I leave it for a minute then I crank it and it starts fine. Yesterday, I also had to put my foot on the gas for it to start. Once it starts in the morning, its starts just fine all day. (unless it sits idle for 6+ hours)

Can you please help? Thanks a lot!

Make sure the air filter lid has been put back into proper place, if they left it loose the engine would **** more air while trying to start, so you need more fuel to balance it out.

Have you checked the oil, checked to see if dipstick and fuel cap are tight.Do you have oil spots on driveway? Those are the first things I would check,if oil is on driveway is it coming from the oil pan.It 'seems" it May be tied in with the oil change from 2 weeks ago

Hi! My 1999 Cadillac Deville for about 2 weeks started messaging low refrig-ac-off. Check engine light on!.

When you change your oil is up to you,you set the
months & miles you go. Any car with a reminder
for oil is just a gadget

You were told that your low on a/c refrigerant by the
message

Now the check light related or not has to be addressed,
by checking for codes & diagnosing the effected system

Your a/c system needs repair, not added to, only to leak out
& polute the atmosphere

Why is my 2006 lexus gs 300 is burning oil

Every single 2006 gs300 will have this problem, and even after it has been "fixed" it's going to happen again due to the intake valves not being washed by incoming fuel. The design of the engine is a poor design and shouldn't have never been put out to production and sold to anybody. Lexus extended the warranty for this problem for 9 years and will not do a single thing for you if you're even one day out of the 9 years. Every single 06 gs300 should have been replaced with a completely different car under the lemon law the moment they realized the problem, but to save the money lexus just swept it under the rug leaving hundreds of thousands of their customers with a lemon.

The oil light remains on after an oil change/filter. The car is lexus 2000, Gs300. The milage is more than 100,125 miles. What is the prblem?

It depends. If you are talking about the RED oil pressure warning light, the problem is either that your engine has oil pressure problems or it has a defective oil pressure sending unit. If it is actual oil pressure problems, major engine repair or replacement will be necessary to fix it.

I have a 2007 ES350, 47K miles, few weeks ago a had 4 tires replaced @ discount tire & a full alginment service @ firestone auto shop, last week on friday the vsc light come on & the engine light...

I doubt very much this has anything to do with the tires or alignment. It sounds like you have misfiring in the engine, possibly because of a faulty sensor. The first thing to do is to check whether you still have a warranty with such low mileage - your dealer may fix it for free! If the warranty has expired, get a readout of the engine trouble code. The fix may be as simple as spraying throttle body cleaner into the Mass Airflow Sensor (careful - there are very fragile fine wires inside), or you may have a loose connection on the oxygen sensor (sometimes it gets bumped during an oil change on this model).

1999 gs300 shows code p1349 and the engine runs really rough at idle , runs fine off idle

Its a Oil Control Valve most likely. Get the valve. Its like 100 from Lexus. Mine did the exact same thing with that code. GS300
