U3FFF RECEIVING ERROR CODE U3FFF ON A 97' Q45 Infiity. What does code mean

no year care told the manuals are by year and country.
fails USA smog or Canada, can we know this?
no to smog stations are the same USA FED or CALIF are different as is all other countries.
2005 to present made,
no VIN or engine told. and smog is big time on ENGINE types.

U3fff is using a useless scanner for this car.
use only 2008 and newer scan tools

Your vehicle uses a CAN bus network for communications and any scan tool used to do what you are trying needs to be CAN capable.

U3fff (the fff means bad data read) F is hex code 1111b
IT MEANS CAN BUS FAILED.
top cause is tool can not do modern Chrysler DTC codes.
FFF = 1111-1111-1111b
U3 means factory only code.
solutions all
DIY buy a real real scan tool 2008 or newer.
get it scanned in a real shop
barrow the tool ,buy one or rent one.
some shops do it for free ASK EM/
some store do it for free but 1/2 the time fail or reasons stated above. wrong tool used.
scan tool can_bus certified + Chrysler too.

Most likely the ODBII scanner has a compatability issue with the vehicle. Suggest you try a different scanner.

code p 1652 refers to engine control relay --open circuit/short circuit to ground ===causes --wiring open circuit/ short circuit to ground---connectors ---engine control relay---ECM

U codes are communication faults between the different modules present on your vehicle. The PCM has to maintain control via separate modules that monitor and control every aspect of it, from engine and emission control,transmission control, anti-lock, traction control, lighting, hvac, suspension control, etc...To diagnose these codes requires a quality scan tool and a technician who is experienced with these systems.

goto autozone/orielly and have them reset the code for free. Or you can remove your battery for about 5 mins and it should clear the code. Good Luck!

Thats not a valid obdII code. Thats actually an error from the scanner itself not understanding the data that was sent.. I would clear the code and see if it returns. If it does find someone with the proper code scanner for a CAN system.
