You could use a test light or a bare piece of wire to act as a temp ground to find out. If it is a bad ground in the socket, the socket would need to be replaced.

Could be crankshaft sensor,fuel filter.

They are in a box in the engine compartment, or behind a panel on the firewall behind the engine.
My sedan de ville has them on the firewall behind the panel on the passenger side. You remove the panel with a couple of large round nuts.

Match the numbers and colors

It sounds like the idle compensation circuit for the engine is dirty or faulty. Have your car checked at a shop. have them check the idle air motor for dirt or malfunction. It could be that it only needs to be cleaned or replaced.

The compensation circuit adjusts the idle/slow speed of the engine. The air conditioner puts a load on the engine and this circuit adjusts the engine speed to compensate. Also, when the car is cold this circuit adjusts the idle speed to prevent stalling and help the engine warm up faster. I hope this information helps you.

Since replacing anything could cost hundreds of dollors, would you really replace it from a suggestion or would you prefer to get it diagnosed properly. It gets expensive when you just throw parts at a car. This really need to be diagnosed properly ( hands on with the proper equipment).

I've not done this for the reason you speak of, but I was told to disconnect the battery from both terminals and hook the 2 cables together and leave it that way for 30 minutes making the computer forget what it was doing. Reconnect the battery and find if it worked for you. There's no power anywhere when the battery is disconnected, so no harm is done. This method turned out my ABS light when nothing else worked after repairs were done.

Battery terminals like bad or corroded. Replace, and you should be fine.
