2004 chevy. Heated seats will not stay on.

2004 chevy. Heated seats will not stay on. The seats seem to stay on as long as the driver stay leaned back against the seat. As soon as you lean forward the seats go off.

See GM TSB 05-08-143-001, If you have Adjustable pedals, especially if they dont; work with the memeory buttons, but function with thier own buttons. Its the Brake Pedal Position Sensor is shorted and mesing up the seat module which controls the heaters too. My 05 Suburban had the same issue.

Chances are the heated seat elements in your seat are open. You will need new elements in that seat installed.Gm makes just the elements. All you will need to due is remove the fabric.

Heated, power seats not working

Check wiring under the seat. Frequent habit of pushing things under the seat such as flashlights and tools etc and moving the seat forward and back sometimes pulls wires or breaks them.

2004 CHEVY MALIBU HEATED SEATS TURN ON WITHOUT

The switch need to be replaced. This is a common problem. Understand that he switch is the only breakpoint in that system. If the seat is getting hot without the switch being pressed, there is a short in the switch, thuis the necessary replacement.

2004 Chevy diesel with heated leather seat that quit working.

It is a fuse. Go into your owner manual to locate the fuse or just look in the fuse panel as they are labeled.

My 2004 yukon's heated seats will not stay on. The button lights up for a few seconds and then turns off. This happens on both the drivers and passenger side.

Mine did that forever, but started working after the instrument cluster was replaced. It started to show 100 mph in a parking lot. Dealer replaced it for free, and now every little quirk seems to have disappeared, including the heated seats. They are very nice lately. Damn cold here.

There is a service bulletin for this concern from GM.What you will have to do is go to the dealership and they will reprogram the drivers seat module. It should only take a 1/2 hour. The bulletin number is 05-08-50-008.Hope this helps.Good luck.
