If you're reading this, you are probably stuck like I was stuck - hopefully .... I'm actually surprised BMW made this possible - seems like a real ... Does this also apply to the 3 series Wagon (E91 a.k.a Touring)? Mine is a 2005 and there is no key lock in thetailgate. ... Drives: 2006 E91 325xi 6 speed wagon.

Unfortunately, you have to have the service reset tool. Dealers and BMW mechanics have this tool, but i don't know whether they reset for free. i guess it depends on who you take it to.
My 2003 325xi died on the highway a few weeks ago, and I thought it was the battery. It turned out to be the alternator, which was an expensive problem to repair. If your battery is new, it could be the alternator, or a problem with the electrical system. I find the BMWs to be too complicated electrically, which often leads to problems! I'd check your alternator...
if you have a frozen door lock actuator most BMW dealers I know charge between $250-$350 plus the cost of parts. part of the labor costs is because many trim items have to be removed so as to not damage the inner door panel.
I am assuming that you have a burned out head light bulb. 1) Open hood. 2) Working in back of headlight assembly, grasp rear of bulb socket (harness connector) and turn counterclockwise 90 degrees. Pull bulb out of headlight assembly. 3) Disconnect harness connector from bulb (gently pry, it's plastic) 4) Installation is reverse of removal. (Do not touch halogen bulb with bare skin-oils from hand will cause bulb to burn out.) Align tabs on bulb base to cutouts on rear of lens assembly. (Note bottom tab is wider than other two) Secure bulb by rotating clockwise 90 degrees. Low beam bulb H9006 High beam bulb H9005
