Two clips hold the headlight in place at the top...remove these and the headlamp will move forward enabling you to replace the halogen bulb (9007 at CTC)

EASY FIX, POP THE TOP PLASTIC COVERING OFF BY POPPING UP THE LITTLE BUTTONS HOLDING IT DOWN. JUST PULL THEM UP IN THE MIDDLE BY THE LITTLE ROUND TOP THEN, PULL THE WHOLE PIECE OUT BY THE FLAT BOTTOM OF THE PIECE, ONCE REMOVED, THERE ARE TWO BOLTS HOLDING THE HEADLIGHT IN PLACE, REMOVE THOSE TWO BOLTS AND THE WHOLE HEADLIGHT COMES OUT EASILY, JUST TWIST THE HEADLIGHT BULB UNIT A LITTLE UNTIL IT COMES LOOSE THEN, JUST PULL IT OUT OF THE HOLE IT'S IN. PULL THE LITTLE CLIP UP THAT'S HOLDING THE ACTUAL BULB AND HARNESS IN THE SOCKET AND THE QHOLE THING COMES OUT WITH THE BULB INSIDE, REPLACE THE BULB WITH A NEW ONE AND REPEAT STEPS IN REVERSE ORDER TO REPLACE BACK IN THE HEADLAMP AND YOUR DONE. REMEMBER, DON'T DON'T DON'T TOUCH THE NEW BULB AT ANY TIME DURING REPLACEMENT, I DON'T KNOW WHY BUT, IT'S A VERY BAD THING TO DO ACCORDING TO THE EXPERTS. I JUST PERFORMED THIS FIX YESTERDAY AND SO FAR EVERYTHING IS JUST FINE, BUT, I DID FIND OUT THAT I DON'T HAVE WORKING TAIL LIGHTS. THE BRAKE LIGHTS WORK BUT, NOT THE TAIL LIGHTS WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE TURNED ON. BULBS ARE NOT BLOWN AT ALL AND I DON'T SEE ANY CUT OR BROKEN WIRES, I NOTICED THAT MY DASH LIGHT IS OUT ALSO BUT, THERE ARE NO FUSES BLOWN AT ALL ANYWHERE. CAN ANYONE HELP? CALL FLOYD @ 443-475-7093 ANYTIME DAY OR NIGHT.

I have a dim headlight on my passenger side .This is on both low beam and high beam.I replaced the bulbs and the problem is still there.

Sounds like a bad ground. Newer cars have a dedicated ground wire going to the headlight plug. Could be broken, could be corroded. Check the wires with a simple 12 volt tester. Hope that helps

I have no daytime running lights, one headlight is bright on low and high beam. The passenger side is dim at all times. I have changed the bulbs on both side but with no difference. I was told it could be...

the center wire that plugs into the socket is the ground. Always use a OHM meter to check. Then splice in a new wire and ground in to the sheet metal. That way you will receive brighter lights

2005 pontiac sunfire headlight issue

I have run into a few of these and what I found was water getting into the wires that go to these headlights. The harness is just below the battery area.It will be easier to get to from the bottom of the vehicle. You will have to remove the plastic cover from the harness and the electrical tape.Find the dark blue and the orange wires. The dark blue is for the drivers side and the orange is for the passengers side. There should be 2 of each.Look real closely and see if you see a spot where the wires are slightly swelled up.These wires are only 18 gauge so it is not easy finding the bad spot. One thing you can try is pulling on the wires a little and sometimes they will separate where the bad spot is.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Pontiac Sunfire brake and turn signal on passenger side working sporatically. I've changed the bulb...works, then doesn't. Passenger side rear only....anyone know a cure?

You have an electrical problem. Start with corrosion in the socket.Cleaning the contacts sometimes works. new socket works more.
