Yes there is a recall for the instrument cluster gauges not working properly or sticking.Call your dealer and they will ask for your vehicle identification number. What they do is put this number in there computer and they will tell you if you have any open recalls on your vehicle. If you have less than 70k miles this will cost you nothing. But if it is over 70k then you will get the cluster free but have to pay for labor. The recall number is 07187C.Good luck.

2003 GMC Yukon speedometer indicates less than actual speed by 30% - 60%.

Do you have after market tires that are larger than stock ? This will affect your speedometer.Another thing could be the speedometer gear which is easy and cheap. Its at the end of your speedometer cable inside of transfer case.

My gas gauge & speedometer gave out on my 2004 gmc yukonis there any recall on this type of situation?

Yes there is a recall for erratic gauge readings. They will supply new instrument cluster and labor to install it at no charge to you. Tell the service writer that your gauges only work sometimes and they'll help you out. worked for me!!!

2004 GMC sierra 5.3 eng 1500 transmission shutter 40-55 mph

I too have that problem. I own a 2005 GMC Yukon. Shutters between 40 + 55 mph. I thought for sure the stumble I felt was a plug or coil pack because it only does it under a load. With A/C on the whole truck shakes! But it wasnt the plugs or coil packs. Answers anyone?

2005 GMC Pickup speedometer does not go to zero

There was not a recall, but there was a class action settlement where GM agreed to extend the warranty on certain vehicles for this problem. Check www.gmspeedometerrecall.com to see if you qualify.

your speedo cluster is bad. I replaced mine and then a recall came out last year(?). GMC reimbursed me for unit installed at the GMC dealership. Just need a copy of your invoice or ask your GMC dealer to complete work if recall is still in place.

I had the same problem with my 2004 yukon. It seems all the gauges in the insturment cluster are known to go bad from 2003-2006 in GMC and Chevys. The deaerships are trying to sell you a new instrument cluster which is pretty costly if your warrenty is up. I repaired the circuit board on my insturment cluster myself and everything is working fine now. Since hearing abouth this problem I have started repairing the insturment cluster as a side business. If your vehicle is out of warrenty and your intersted shoot me an e-mail ([email protected]).
