Bottom line is yes, but how the charger connects must be compatible. If it's a wired charger, connect the charger power wires with proper polarity. Positive to positive, negative to negative. If the charger is a cigar lighter type, then make, build, or squire a reversed polarity jumper. A male cigar lighter jack with wires output and a female cigar jack on the end of the wires where polarity is crossed. Please be more specific for a better short answer.
it is more than likely because cigarette lighters draw high amperage and to have 2 on the one fuse would defeat the purpose of having fuses
check to see that one is not a cigarette lighter but an aux power outlet for phone charger or light etc
check the cigar lighter fuse it is probably blown, that is where the 12v supply comes from, then check why it blew, chances are its a faulty adapter being used in it, cell phone, radar detector, etc, or there could be debris in it a coin, foil gum wrapper, if nothing found replace the cigar lighter
use a test light on cigar lighter, put probe in center of socket and the ground on outside of cigar socket or any other good ground. if power to socket, this will tell you if the cigar socket is bad and needs replaced. if it has power and lighter does not work, then its the heating element itself thats bad, the part that heats up! good-day !
From 2000 Buick Regal - Owners Manual, check the position CIGAR LTR, DATA LINK for Cigarette Lighter, Auxiliary / Power Connection (Power Drop), Data Link on the Instrument Panel Fuse Block.
i have same problem on 1997 s420, don't know why it is happening. but you can replace cigar lighter fuse then replace seat/mirrors/steering wheel fuse and all is well. thnx
