All fuses under the dash lit up when checked. Also bulb for tail light was checked and it was fine. The turn signals and brake lights work. Don't know what to check anymore.
Hello.
The same thing happened to my BMW. All my fuses were fine too, what the problem was, was that the fuse that belonged to the dash lights and the brake lights, taillights etc. was wrong. If the fuse is not the correct amperage not everything on that circuit will work. So even though that the fuse is not burnt, the fuse could still be incorrect. Thats your best bet to check.
Your second solution can be the ground on that circuit. Check the grounds that come from the taillights, and find where it connects to the body or the frame with a small screw of small bolt. If the ground is dirty or rusty, it wont make a good connection and you will have loss of lights.
Hope this helps!
Did you have any luck with your situation? I have that exact same problem. I first lost my dash lights, little by little. At first, we could wiggle the switch and get them to come on. Then, just this morning, I lost my tail lights. All fuses are good. All lights are good. It is puzzling, to say the least.
I found a site online that has a replacement switch..............but, without tail lights, it will be all daytime driving until it arrives.
Thanks for your time and I hope that your problem got solved.

There are also fuses under the hood. Make sure all of those are OK. If you find a faulty fuse under the hood, change it, make sure all the fuses used are the correct amperage. Do not replace with fuses of a different amperage, those will either blow again or cause a meltdown somewhere. After replacing all blown fuses, if the problem persists the you may have a short. That is a problem best left for the experts..
