There could be an electrical short to power somewhere in the dash.
Could be a bad ground or a communication problem between radio and body contoller. Dodge has problems with their radio systems

I had a radio installed in my 2004 chevy impala and now the battery is always running down and the systems are not working right. what can I do to fix this

You apparently did not hook the radio up to a hot wire when switch is on 'only'. The radio is constantly pulling power from battery even when parked and off with key out. Turn switch on, find a hot wire, turn key off. If power goes off, use that wire for the radio. That's it. Done. Stop replacing batteries now. As for the heater and defrost, you've given no symptoms other than the Battery drain.

Car battery goes dead within 3 days it is my new pioneer radio that drains it.

Would not think so, radios do not use that much power. My car sits idle for weeks, still with power to constant 12v. Check your battery, IF going flat that quick, probably needs replacing

You are loosing power to the keep alive memory circuit of the radio. I think you may have a defective ignition starter switch. Also there are two hot wires to the radio, one powers the radio, one holds memory and is called the Keep Alive Memory constant power wire. Here is the wiring colors, pull the radio and check the memory power supply wire.

How do you reset the computer nissan armada

You don't

Your asking how do you clear the Malfunction
Lamp on the dash?

If you clear it before you diagnose & repair the reason
it came on,then your loose all the data you need to
start the diagnostic part

If you think you will fix it by having the light go out ,your wrong

I would suggest a code reader verse disconnecting the battery,
so you don't risk loosing this you need working, like the radio,
windows etc.

Each vehicle is different you need to know you vehicles stratagies

1995 cadillac deville stock radio not working

Before you remove the dash, double check the fuse(s). There are TWO fuses to power the radio. One is "switched on" when you turn the key on, the other is "constant on" to run the clock and the radio presets when the car is turned off. The constant on circuit is usually the Cigar Lighter fuse. Check the owner's manual or a trip to the library to look at their repair manuals for fuse box locations.
I repaired Delco radios for years and never had to tear the dash apart to fix a radio....

Chevy radio not working

Please check all of your fuses,There are 2 fuses for your radio,1 to supply ignition switched power and the other is a constant power supply for the radio memory. This fuse is usally a shared fuse with other devices that need constant power such as interior lights.

Make sure your ground wire at the car did not get fried to a hot wire. It may have fire. That is the only reasonable thing it could be if it is blowing radios...

Radio installation

I think it really depends on what one she has. Mine was the full unit with tape and CD. When I got my car the radio didn't work. I later found out that the amp under the passanger seat went bad and took down the whole system. Toyta, for some reason, ran all the key wires under that seat. Thats where the Constant, VCC (Key power), Remote, and ground. Then the amp powers the head unit. The person I bought mine from said that the radio started clicking in the speakers before it quit. If I would have just known to change the amp under the seat, it would have been much quicker. Hope some of this helps.
