If the fans run on for a short time (upto five minutes) and then stop after you have shut the motor down, this is normal!! If the fans simply do not stop at all, check the fan relay as the relay may be faulty. This relay is located in a housing with other relays under the hood. They may be marked as to what circuit they belong too, look in the lid.. If they are not, pull each relay out in turn until the fans stop. Those relays which have no effect should be replaced before you pull the next relay out. Some relays can be opened and some cannot, either way, just replace with a new relay as once the contacts stick once, they will continue to stick..

Why does my fan continue to run after car is shut off?

Which fan are you referring to? The pusher fan in front of the radiator is tied to the AC system. If it continues to run for an extended period after you turn off the key, then there is likely a problem with the relay. I think your model year has the 2 speed fan. Does the fan run at high speed or low speed when you turn off the car? Does it do it if the AC is off?

Cooling fans continue to run when engine is shut off

This is normal. Cooling fans today are not turned by the fan belt but are run by an electric motor. The fan continues running until the coolant temperature is reduced

Cooling fan runs continuously, even after replacing both relays coolant sensor.

Could be that you have 2 Thermal sensors as some cars have one for the dash gauge or light and the other is for the PCM.

Remember that when you turn on the A/C it can trigger the cooling fans to run continuously. If the A/C is left on while you are doing all of this, it can be a simple reason for the problem.

I have reno megane 04 my fan continues running when my car is not running i have had the air presureit has just happened again sensor replaced bu

Many cooling systems are designed to let the cooling fan continue to run even after shutting down the engine...however, this should only last for a minute or so...your owners manual may help. If the fan never stops when turned off this is probably a faulty resistor...may need a good mechanic to confirm which...Hope this helps.

Cooling fan continues to run after engine shut off.

The fan runs for a short time, after ignition off, to continue to cool the hot engine.

The electric radiator cooling fan will not turn off

As long as the fan eventually shuts off this isn't a problem, the fan will continue to run for a bit after the car is turned off, once it reaches a set temprature it will turn off.

AC/Heat Fan runs continuously and Rear end roaring noise

Sounds like the wheel bearing on the right rear hub may be defective, that would cause the noise if the tires are ok. As far as the fan goes not sure this isn't working as designed.

Dodge dynasty electric fan doesn't turn off

On some vehicles, the fan will continue to run for a short time after turning the car off. But if it runs for more than 5 minutes you may have a bad sensor or stuck relay
