Check all the front end moving parts for looseness, ball joints, tie rods, upper and lower arm bushings, wheel bearings, brake mounting supports, swaybar bushings, if it makes noise and shifts it its dangerous to drive

I have a 2001 ram truck 1500 that make a noise when I turn my wheels to the right sounds like a metal to metal noise

Noises when steering is commonly a steering or suspension issue. The most common reasons are things like failed ball joints, worn tie rod ends or broken suspension springs. OK, A few questions. Do you only get the noise when steering to one side and not the other? Do you get the noise when braking reasonably hard? Is it a single noise like a 'clunk' or is it a repeating noise as you turn?
Try this. With the vehicle in Park start the engine and turn the steering all the way to the left then all the way to the right and back again three or four times. Try to do this as quickly as you can. Do you get the noise?
Turn the vehicle off. Go to the front right corner of the vehicle and bounce the suspension as hard as you can. Listen for the noise. Repeat this for all four corners.

Vibration coming from front axle when coming to a stop it gets worse, brakes are good , maybe cv joint?

if you feel the pulsation in brake pedal when stopping. its a warped brake rotor thats causing it. for bad cv joint symtoms--- Unusual noises when making turns. As you are driving on the road and you make a turn at the corner, if you start hearing unusual sounds coming from under the car then this is one of the symptoms of a bad CV joint. These noises will sound like something is clicking beneath the car every time you turn the steering wheel. Evidence of a damaged boot. Steering wheel feels heavier. The steering wheel will start to feel tighter and heavier and you can hardly make simple turns to the left or right. In severe cases you might even feel heavy vibrations like you are driving down a rocky road.

Around my passenger front wheel, I heard a popping and grinding noise. I cannot see anything broken (without taking the wheel off)...makes more noise when turning left then turning right...any idea?

wood38, What you are describing here is a wheel bearing problem. To check this, jack up the vehicle and support it with a jackstand. Grab the wheel on the top and bottom and see if you can shake it. If there is play in the wheel then this usually indicates that the bearing is bad. As you state when turning left the noise is louder. This is because the weight of the vehicle is being 'thrown' to the right putting more pressure on the right bearing. You may have to replace that bearing and what you describe here indicates just that. Good luck with this.

Humming noise from front drivers side tire, is it the tie rod? how do I fix?

hello
most of the time when there is a humming noise other then a brake noise you have a wheel bearing bad the best way to tell if it is a wheel bearing making noise is while you are driving down the road and the vehicle is making the noise slightly turn the steering wheel left to right if the noise changes at all replace the wheel bearings gm cars are notorious for wheel bearing
good luck chris

If the key won't turn, try to move the steering wheel left or right, the steering/ ignition lock plate can hang up if the wheels are not strait

Something knocking in a steering system on my 98 civic

Suspect worn outer cv joint. Check the boot for any tears, damage or leaking grease. If these are present your cv joint will fail soon if it hasn't already. If you put the car into reverse and turn the wheels to a hard lock a bad cv joint will make a popping grinding type sound. Try left and right turns when doing this test.

Dodge Ram popping noise front left (drivers side) suspension

My father had this problem on a car years ago and I have see others have it also . The poping noise is often for a ball joint and then the wheel just falls off. Have the ball joints inspected for excessive wear
