Fuel pump inop on 2002 mitsubishi lancer ozzy edition non turbo 5spd. I checked fuse #8 and 10 both are good. No power coming from fuel pump relay2 at bulk head connector . I have disconnected connector at fuse box and applied 12 volts to red wire and pump runs and starts car, so one can assume the problem lies ahead of the connector. When car is in start position I can feel relay 2 click as if it turned on. I cant get to the wiring at the back of the fuse box to verify voltage right behind relay. I must be getting some sort of voltage drop inside the fuse box. Have you come across this before? The wires are not visible nor are there any markings on the relay or fuse box as to what wires are going where. My diagram from Mitchell lists the out going wires and where they go but are not numbered to correspond with the car.

Your vehicle is equipped with two fuel pump relays. Both are located on the junction block which is located behind left end of dash. You will need to test both of them to ensure they are working properly. Let me know how they test out.

first thing to do is remove spark plugs and if they smell really fuely you will need to change them if that doesnt help you will need to get the microtech tuned for a good coldstart , this depends on if its running stand alone or as a piggy back
cheers.

First you need to check all your fuses with a test light. The 12 volt light switch wire for the ilumimation of your gauges is just a park light feed, the best way to find it is using test light,it can be found in radio plug or park light switch or fuse board.Your check engine light is not so easy ,first I would check the bulb in dash, then you need to make sure of you lose wire tap connections the check engine light needs a feed to it to come on you need to check your aftermarket ecu wiring diagram to see where this is or get hold of a factory one to find it to see if you can manual trip it with test light.

SOURCE: Losing power to the fuel pump

well that sounds like a relay. if your car is an automatic, double check than you replaced the ASD and fuel pump relays and not the trans control relay.
if its not the relay, its probably the ECU(PCM).

I have a 2002 mitsubishi lancer oz rally edition and i have changed the fuel pump and fuel filter and spark plugs and now the car will not crank up at all what could be the problem?

(first check on the passenger side floor alone the fuel line for a reset switch ) then test the pump wiring and fuses, crack the fuel line in the engine bay and crank the engine, making sure you haven't air locked the fuel line. failing all the above remove the plugs and put back the old ones, might be the wrong parts. best of luck.

I dont haVE POWER TO THE FUEL PUMP NEED TO KNOW IF THE PUMP HAS A RELAY OF FUSE AND WERE IS IT AT ALSO IF THE POWER COMES DIRECTLY FROMTHE ECU

It may have both. The relay will be under the hood in the "fuse box". Check diagragm there to see which is which and if there is a fuse aas well as relay. There may also be a fuse in the car under the dash. Power should go from the ignition to the pump
