Hello
You say you checked the ignition switch, you are 100% sure that isn't the problem? this year and indeed most 1990's Honda"s has a problem with the electrical contacts in the ignition starter switch, the symptom is the car will run until the key is released to the run position or the engine just stalls for no reason, the switch is very easy to replace and I bet is your problem, just remove the sterring column covers, they are a **** shell cover the screws are recessed on the bottom of the cover, Honda doesn't sell the switch seperately from the key cylinder buy it is sold in the after market, here is a price and picture of the part.
STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS Part # US288 {IGNITION STARTER SWITCH} $31.79 US
these also have problems with the ECM's has that be replaced, i assume u have checked power to the ECM and that is no an issue, and this was verified at the ECM connector?
Have you replaced the ignition module, they are another common fault area.
U have no injector pulse, did not see that about adding gas and it runs, do u have 12 volts to one side of each injectors harness connector when the key is on? if not u have a wiring harness isue, the other side is ground and this is controlled by the ECM or computer as many people call it, so if u have 12 volts to each injector connector then the ECM is suspect or the wiring harness is damaged or shorted.

It's rare, but replacement fuel pumps can be bad right out of the box. You change fuel filter...so there's no chance of a restriction in the fuel line. If you're not developing pressure...it's the fuel pump.
With out starting the engine, turn the key on and listen for the fuel pump...if it doesn't stop, but continues to run, the pump is not reaching pressure.
Mike...
If you can run a scanner to the system to get the error, it would help accurately diagnose the problem. Check the vacuum hoses for leaks and for dirt and debris. Have it cleaned out. Especially for the hoses located near the intake manifold. I am thinking that the MAP sensor may not be sending an accurate reading or may be bad. Inspect the air tube between the air filter and the intake manifold for cracks or holes. Check as well if it would make a difference without the air filter. The MAP sensor, found at the air entrance of the intake manifold measures the amount of air that goes in the engine and tells the computer how much fuel should be delivered. If it were bad it may be starving the engine. Another component related to that is the oxygen sensor near the catalytic converter or resonator in the exhaust. It measures how much oxygen is at the exhaust and adjusts the fuel mixture to ensure complete combustion. Other than that you may have a problem with the injection itself.

I have not checked that yet. I hadn't even read about that yet. sounds like a good thing to check. I will let you know what I find. Thanks

I have checked the ign switch. I know about the problems these cars have with ign switch. Already replaced switch. Any other thoughts?
I have replaced the ignition switch. Any other suggestions? Any thoughts abnout the ecm?
I have a list of stuff to check. And I will update if anything is found. I really think it going to be something on the fuel side of things being if fuel is added to to air intake the car will stay running so this leads me to belive i am not getting fuel to the engine. I am getting fuel to the fuel rail. So maybe something that controls the injectors.
This sounds good. This is what I was looking for. I will go check and get back to you.
