It will be the heater core only if you're losing coolant, you'd be able to smell the coolant if you turn the ac on. If you're not losing coolant then it is probably a clogged drain tube.

Hi are you sure its to do with your air con, normally when your carpet gets wet it means your heater matrix has burst, thats always been my experience. hope this helps thanks John.

My car has a lot of condensation on the front and rear windows ,dampness has formed in the passenger foot well, what could be the cause?

Air Conditioner Drain pipe blocked . Feel behind heater on carpet is it wet ?
If you have been using your Air conditioner in humid weather it will extract even more water from the air and if the pipe is blocked it will add water to your car.
If this is the cause it takes about 30 seconds for a car repair place to lift the car up on their car jack and unblock the pipe .

My drivers carpet is wet in my suzuki grand vitara 2001. Cannot find a leak what could it be?

Is it wet more on pas side? If so you may have a plugged up drain for your evaporator core, wich is what runs your ac inside the car,

I have water leaking into both drivers and passengers footwells in my Suzuki Grand Vitara. Heater matrix seems fine and the washer bottle pipes seem fine. Have checked seals on door panel. Again, fine....

Does it have to do with the AC. I had a similar problem with my vitara and they said a washer was prob loose in the ac system which would cause the water to leak to the footwell. Mine was only the passenger side.

When air con on in my car water leaking down the front passanger side making very smelly carpet any way of fixing problem someone said drain need unblocking where is the drain

The drain is supposed to come out under the car, passenger side, ahead of the dashboard area. If yours is clogged, that's where you need to look once you're under the car. You should see a tube pointing forward or down, sticking through the firewall - that's it.

97 land cruiser wet carpet passenger side . have blown clear sun roof drain vents ..air con is dripping ok pipe outside floor pan ...no coolant usage ..no smell to wet carpet ... dried carpet drove last...

Does the car have climate control air/con?If so,air/con may still be coming on at different times.I would double check the air/con drip tray.Sometimes it has 2 pipes if the tray has split levels. One may still be blocked.(Does the car have a built in fridge?)Hope this may help
