The book says to line them up in a straight line. The best picture I have found of this particular set came from a Haynes Repair Manual when I replaced the timing chain in mine several years ago. The Crank Shaft mark is in the 12 o'clock position, close to straight up, but make sure you stay at #1 Top Dead Center on the compression stroke or you'll be 180 degrees out of time. It will run but it will tear up the engine if you leave it that way.

your best bet is to go to your choice of auto repair store and purchase a Haynes Repair Manual for GM it covers the Cadi, Olds Toranado and the Buick Rivi 86-92, its located in the back section of the book youll have no problem locating it.
Check primary voltage at ignition coil and fuel injectors, engine cranking, use a test lite, dark green wire with orange tracer. If no voltage, that comes from asd relay. Some makes and models if the computer doesn't see the cam and crank sensor signals, the computer won't ground the relay.
