Changing oil regardless of trans of motor oil won't impact starting the engine. He might have bumped or dislodged a wire somewhere. He needs to check what oil he changed and correct it if it was wrong. Look for loose connections.
did you put the plug back in the sump or did you remember to put the correct amount of oil back in the sump oil
sender problems will not occur just like that after an oil change
Has there been zero oil pressure ever since you changed the oil?
Did you do it with motor warm? If so you lost the prime in your oil pump.Over fill the oil, couple quarts. start the engine,If you got oil pressure shut of engine and drain two quarts!
The sending unit was my guess...Could be the oil pump going bad...Or even a to good brand oil filter restraining the oil from recirculating...I've seen it happen..
First dealer was NOT doing you any justice. Next oil change run a can of GUNK engine flush let idle 5-10 mins then change Oil & Filter and use a good oil like Castrol or Valvoline 10w-30. You won't have "supposed" sludge build up.
It depends if you changed only the oil or if you changed the filter as well. If the filter was changed, it is quite common for a high reading especially if you have not yet run the engine. It may show a quart high until you start and run for a few minutes. This allows the new oil filter to fill up with oil.
If you changed only the oil, you may have left some dirty oil behind and that's why it reads high. Or, for example, the actual refill amount is 4 qts. and you added 5.
If you added oil level before engine was warm Then when engine is warm you recheck the level Oil Expands with heat
let it cool down and then re-check if its too much drain a touch off.
