The turn signal flasher assembly is located under the driver's side of the instrument panel, on the front of the fuse panel, or under the center section of the instrument panel in the relay/flasher block. This is ,basically, the controller for your turn signals.

SOURCE: no turn signals but flashers work

You may have two relays one for hazards and one for turn indicators.

SOURCE: My turn signals are NOT working, but emergency

Check for the FLASHER. For 1991 Toyota Truck Pickup 4WD (4 cyl) 2.4L FI 4cyl the Flasher is located front seating area, driver side, under dash, mounted driver side of steering column.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: 1991 Ford E150 turn signals do not work, emergancy flashers flash constantlly unless the flasher relay is unplugged from fuse block

Hi,

If I understand you right based on your post/description, the signal lights would still turn on even if any or both of the flasher relays are removed. Should this be the case, then the signal lights are not getting the power from the flasher relays but from the brake light circuit.

Perhaps your concern is not with any of the flasher, but simply missing or loose ground more particularly with the rear lights. Perhaps you could try determining which of the wires for the brake lights and signal lights (as they come out of the light assembly) would be ground . A test and even possibly a temporary workaround is to hard wire a second ground connection from the determined ground wire of the lights and attach it to any conveniently located bolt or screw to the body. it may be to your advantage to do this on all the rear lights assembly.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Flasher relay location on 1964 impala ss

I think what you need is just the flasher itself and this is a silver colored round can that should have 2 or 3 prongs for the contacts that plug into the fuse box if you turn on your flashers or signals while touching the flasher you should feel a click you might have 2 one for each turn signals/emergency flashers and the other could be connected to a plug in the harness next to the fuse box so look for 2 and see which one is working sometimes they are dual and only one is used for both turn signals /emergency flashers I can't remember exactly what yours has its been 40 years since I had one but you will be looking for what was described above LATER MAN!

My car signal stop funtion

have you checked the turn signal relay! It is above your left leg under the fuse access. under dash. do your emergency flashers work, because the relay is a combination relay for e-flashers and turn signals. if the flasher unit is ok, you may have a bad bulb or a short to ground.

2001 Buick Century turn signals do not work. Fuse is good. Brake lights work. Where is the relay?

No relay,if they don't come on at all,bet on the turn signal switch,if they come on and don't flash,it's the flasher.
Make sure the emergency flashers aren't on.(if the 4 way flasher is bad and the button is pushed ,it will kill the signals)

Sounds like the flasher unit to me. Normally the emergency flasher and turn signal are separate.

No turn signals but flashers work

There a two modules 1 for the turn signals and 1 for the flashers. Look under your dash around the steering wheel and fuse box area for one that is in the wiring harness.

Turn signals and emergency flashers won't work

you need to replace the flasher relay... it's often located in the fuse panel under the dash.... it's generally larger then the other relays.... and it may possibly be blue.
