Why does my 2005 trailblazer turn off when I turn on my heater or air conditioner. It starts to hesitate then turns off. FYI: 1 week earlier I changed my thermostat.

Check the volt meter when you turn on the heater or AC,
it could be that the alternator is just putting out enough to run,or the AC clutch in the compressor is seizing up loading down the engine,the AC will cycle on and off if your heater is set to defrost

indicates that then alternator is not working and power to drive the ac is being diverted from the ignition system

Heater stopped working loss of coolant and rough Idle
I had a similar experience. Finally the car started overheating. Turned out the thermostat went bad and the radiator blew a leak. Had those replaced. Runs great.

The air conditioner fan runs but blows out very little air. some times it won't blow at all, and the fan can be turned off and back on, and this will generate a small amount of air.
need a new fan.

Rear AC does not turn on.
check the fuse for the rear fan.
also there is a rear control switch that moves control to the back switch
without the fan on,the a/c will not come on.
electronics can be difficult to fix without the circuit and the right test equipment.

just check weather all spark plugs are ok, even if one misfires then turning ac on will stop the engine. during motion the ac manages to get the power from other plugs. i hope this solves ur problm.
