The largest(damper pulley, I think) squeaks and wobbles. I have had it to the Chevy place twice and $600 later it still squeaks.

The only reason that this should squeak is if the harmonic balancer is seperating. You would have to remove the bolt, use a puller to remove the balancer, and using a NEW bolt, put a new balancer on. This is a very rare and unusual problem, and usually a misdiagnosis on where the sound is coming from. More than likely, it's actually a tensioner or idler pully (there's two tensioners on this truck), or the alternator.

Accessory belt vibration or rattle have changed power steering pump also idle pulley tension pulley & tension spring

Hi Ann:
Just an idea.
You could also check the water pump bearing.
Slack the tension, then see if the fan will wobble if you try to move the blade tips at right angles to the plane of rotation.
I'm assuming the belt is in good condition.
The other possible is that the drive pulley (harmonic damper) off the crankshaft has failed. If you shine a flashlight at the damper while the engine is idling you will see the wobble if this is the problem.
Work Safe! Moving parts can bite your fingers off.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Check the belt alignment and also check for other worn bearings. Crankshaft damper may be coming apart.

I have a 1999 Chrysler Cirrus. The serpentine belt came off that goes to the alternator and the air conditioner unit, I was told by a mechanic that the dampner pulley is bad. Some autopart sites have a...

Hi, assuming you have the 2.5 liter engine, your damper is integral to the pulley assembly as shown in the second figure below, so there is only one part involved. You can see an example of the part here: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/Dorman-Harmonic-Balancer/1999-Chrysler-Cirrus/_/N-jddk1Z93y2h?counter=0&itemIdentifier=917091_0_0_
If you look carefully at the pic below, you can see the rubber torus inside the pulley. The rubber is what fails and causes the pulley to wobble. You may need to borrow a puller to get the pulley off.

2.5L Engine
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2. Disconnect battery negative cable from remote negative terminal on shock tower and properly isolate to prevent accidental reconnection.
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

Belt splash shield Accessory drive belts. Refer to Belts. Crankshaft center bolt and remove crankshaft damper.

To install:
  1. Clean crankshaft snout and crankshaft damper bore.
  2. Install or connect the following:

Crankshaft damper. Crankshaft bolt and torque to 143 ft. lbs. (182 Nm) Accessory drive belts. Refer to Belts. Belt splash shield

The bottom pulley for the drive belt is wobbling and making a loud sound. do i need to replace the pulley and is it the bearings in the pulley?

The bottom pulley on any engine is attached directly to the torsional vibration damper which is attached to the crankshaft. That pulley drives the serpentine belt and has no bearings. First thing you need to do is find out if the pulley bolts have become loose or if the damper on the crank is loose.
If you find the pulley loose, if the bolt holes are not elongated, just tighten it back up. If the damper is loose, remove it from the engine (puller usually necessary) and inspect the crank snout and the alignment key for wear. Any damage to the damper requires that it be replaced. If the crank snout is severely damaged, that requires that the crank itself be replaced (very expensive).

Should there be a little wobble to the vibration damper at low rpm of ' 05 town & country?

no. there should not be any wobble to your harmonic balancer pulley! any wobble to the bottom pulley, means it's out of balance. either a belts too tight,or a harmonic balancer bolts loose. the other belts contribute to the wobble once it begins. check the tourque on the harmonic balancer bolt. it should be about 180 footlbs thank you for choosing fixya.com.

I can't stop the squeak on my 8.1l chevy 2500hd.

There is a pulley out of alignment. Only 1/8th inch out will cause a serpentine to sqeak.
