Here is the link to view the serpentine belt diagram for 4.7 Dodge Ram 1500: https://serpentinebelthq.com/2004-dodge-ram-1500-slt-4-7l-serpentine-belt-diagram/
A diagram should already be available inside the hood on the radiator support of the fan covering. If not, follow this link: https://skippingtheinbetween.blogspot.com/2017/03/30-2006-dodge-ram-1500-serpentine-belt.html. Basically, if the pulleys are grooved, the belt ribs ride on it, and if the pulley is smooth, the backside rides on it.
You will need a serpentine belt tool to release tension from belt. There should be a sprung loaded tensioner pulley ( on a leveler bolter to block) . The routing is printed on a sticker in the engine bay.
Hello. Looking at your engine from the FRONT of your truck. Starting at the very bottom at the harmonic balancer...Your serpentine belt goes from the balancer (to the right) outside the next two pulleys. The third is inside the pulley, outside the fourth and fifth, then inside the last one to the outside of the balancer. I hope this helps, good luck, and.. Thank you for trusting FixYa to help get you going!
it the pulley has ridges an/or lips the ridge(s) side of the belt goes around it. if the pulley is smoth then the back side of the belt goes around it. You shouldnt need a diagram.
By chance, have you looked on the underside of your hood, most, if not all vehicles have the diagram there, it should be a white sticker with the pulleys and everything.
