Should be a red handled dipstick on the left hand side of the motor. Not all car's have the dipstick, many types, you have to go underneath, find the upper fill plug on the tranny, remove the plug, and reach your finger inside and you should feel the fluid at the top of the hole.

It's on the drivers side under the air filter holder. you actually have to take the filter holder off and you can reach the red plastic srew about an inch and a half in diameter. If you look you can see it without removing the filter.

SOURCE: install catalytic converter on 2005 chevy equinox

A muffler shop can install this, it needs to be welded on. Unless you have the equipment. The old has to be cut off and new installed.

SOURCE: 2005 Equinox: 2005 chevy equinox vibration at low speeds...

A low speed vibration is likely caused by a tire. Check to see if any rims are bent. Have the tires checked and replaced as necessary. If the tires are worn unevenly have an alignment done. If this is an AWD model check the driveshaft and support bearing.

Where is my transmission dipstick on a 05 equinox

There is no Transaxle level dipstick in the 3.4L Equinox engine. Chevrolet states in the owners manual that it is a zero maintenance item.
There is a bolt serviced, fill hole on the side of the transaxle case that doubles as the max fill level point where your mechanic can check the fluid level and color / smell for diagnostic purpose.
With my particular Equinox, regardless of the zero maintenance aspect of the transaxle, I plan to replace the fluid and filter at 150k miles for peace of mind.

Where is dipstick for transmision on a 2005 chevy equinox

To drain the trans there is a 12 mm bolt on left side of case at bottom

To check & fill ---if you face the side cover & look to the left -down on the case- there is a bolt you remove & the dip stick comes out

You fill with GM T-IV Fluid #88900925

I guess that is avail dealer parts only

Hi, where do i find the dipstick to check the trans fluid on a 06 chevy equinox?

this model doesn't have a transmission fluid dip stick, it is a sealed transmission, there is a fill plug on the case of the transmission just above the pan in most cases, the fluid should be just below the plug, u must access this from under the car.

Where is the transmission Fill plug on a 2005 chevy equinox?

There is no fill plug on transmission pans, you have to fill them from the
dipstick tube in the engine bay. Get a long funnel that will fit into the
dipstick tube hole, and then fill it that way. Make sure you turn the
vehicle on while filling it, and put it through all the gears, with your foot
on the brake. This will make sure your torque convertor is being properly
filled, along with the trans. Good luck.

How to check transmission fluid level

Unfortunately you can not. Chevy put sealed transmissions on most of their cars starting in 2006. It would be out of luck if you got one without a sealed transmission. If you did, look behind the engine on the passenger side for a dipstick similar to your oil dipstick. If you dont see one, you will have to go to the dealership to have it checked.

How do i fill my transmission in my 2005 chevy silverado?

First, park vehicle on level ground, and leave engine running. Pop hood, look at the right rear of the engine compartment very near the engine, and you will see two dipsticks. The yellow one is engine oil; the red one is the transmission fluid.
With engine running and in park, and standing on the right side of the truck, not in front (to avoid moving parts), flip up the handle of the red dipstick (this is the dipstick lock), and withdraw the dipstick straight out of the fill tube. Wipe the dipstick off with a clean cloth, and carefully so as not to bend it (even if it is the cable type dipstick), re-insert it into the fill tube all the way to the bottom. Withdraw the dipstick again, slowly this time, and support the last six inches or so of it with your other hand as it comes free of the tube, and observe the fluid leverl on the dipstick. If the fluid level shows in the normal range, put the dipstick back in, and flip the lock back down; you're done. If it shows low, put a paper transmission fluid funnel (the kind with the strainer built in at the bottom) into the opening of the dipstick tube and slowly, adding no more than one pint at a time, pour fresh transmission fluid from a new container into the transmission. Recheck the fluid level after each pint of fluid. Repeat this operation until the proper fill level is reached.
All of this is done with the engine running.

Where would i find the transmission dip stick for a 2006 chevy equinox or how do i check the transmission oil?

The dipstick is on the very front, near the front pan. There is a bolt, and after that the dipstick can be pulled up.

I need to check transmission fluid level on 2005 chevrolet equinox

open the hood and find the dipstick for the tranny, passenger side up by the firewall, there are instructions most of the time on the dip stick.
have the car running and in park, on the dipstick there will be a cold mark for if the tranny is not warmed up, and a hot mark for if the tranny is at running temp. mark sure the fluid is in the checkered lines if not add fluid
