How to reset computer for my 2005 pt cruiser convertable. I put a new battery and now passenger side windows don't go down. Please help

Changing a battery should not affect the power window. The computer will be reset when the battery is disconnected. Sounds like a coincidence. Try banging on the door while operating the window switch to see if it will work again. If not, the door will have to be disassembeled for testing/inspection

Jaguar s type cd changer

It may be a coincidence so I would reset the CPU by using a code reader to eliminate that possibility.

After installing new lights catalyzed converter error code p0420 p0430. how can I reschit this problem. thank you

Well it's probably just a coincidence but, either buy a code reader/scanner and reset the ecu to ready or go to autozone or advanced auto and have them read the codes and reset the ecu. Some of these auto stores will not erase the codes. or disconnect the battery from the car and let it sit about 30 minutes. That should reset the ECU. Drive the car approximately 50 miles if you disconnect the battery because it will need to relearn your emissions again. If the check engine light comes back on then you either have a bad O2 sensor or your cat is bad, but I'd lay money on your O2 sensor.

2007 jaguar xk convertible top not latching

Are you sure the battery is good, just because you charged it doesn't mean it is any good and reached full voltage. I also suggest you disconnect the battery negative cable for 5 minutes to reset the system.

My soft top roof will not close, just changed the battery and opened thew roof now it will not close

You need to have the dealer reset the programming. NEVER change a battery in this model car without a backup power source connected to avoid these types of problems in VW's

The 1998 Saab convertible 900 - keeps showing " check latches " when roof is on, even though all is secured - It seems to do it after Ive stopped and then accelerate - I have gone through the...

When you put the top up or down, you have to keep your hand on the control until you hear a click and then a "beep". The beep tells you the latches are locked and the top is secure. It will continue telling you to check the latches if the manual lever/override has been pulled. You will know it if the back of the convertible top does not close completely - there's a gap at the back between the torrneau and the canvas top. This is the problem I'm having now...

I'd love to know how to reset the thing, but apparently only a Tech2 can do that. Another person has said that if you disconnect the battery for 24 hours, the computer resets to factory settings... cross my fingers.

I put a new battery in my 2003 chevy truck and now it is stalling and i don't know how to reset the computer

Installing a new battery does not require you to reset the computer. I think this is just a coincidence and has noting to do with you replacing the battery unless you accidentally disconnected some wire. If it is stalling the Check Engine light should be on. Have the ECU scanned and see what code comes up and what it points you to. It will tell you what part is being effected but not necessarily what part is bad.
