Audi A6 Avant 1.9TDI Limited 2003 alarm wont activate
I have an Audi A6 Avant 1.9TDI Limited Edition 53 plate. While doing diagnostic checks I must have hit or changed something. When I finished and locked the car I noticed that my alarm did not activate ie indicators did not flash and there is no red flashing lights by the door locks as before. Can anyone please tell me how to re-enable the alarm. There must be an easy way of doing this without going to an Audi dealer...

For 2007 Audi A6 depending on the engine type, there are two placements for cabin air filters: 1. The cabin air filters are placed on the right bottom side of the central console - passenger side, for 2007 Audi A6 Avant. Remove the carpet and behind the plastic cover are cabin filters. When installing new filters see for the correct position - air flow is indicated by an arrow. See pictures below:
2. For the second placement, besides you need to remove the glove box for access and replace cabin air filters. Check first your car situation. If you will give me your e-mail address, I will send you photos with cabin filters replacement for 2007 Audi A6, because the www.fixya.com website is limited to 150 kb traffic.
It is not possible to have that reset or turned off "Service Due!" without using a diagnostic scantool connected to the data link connector of the car. This is the only one way to reset service due light on a 2007 Audi A6.
There is a few things to do check the door switches that control dome lights, check wire down by the skid plate when you get oil changed there is a sensor for the starter there if it is stolen the alarm will go off or just take a BAT and BEAT the living **** out of your horn and call it good like I am going to. I hope this helped or will help I recommend an aluminum bat vrs. wood
