On the inside trim, you can remove screws (these screws may be covered by filler pieces or may be visible, or they may require you pry a plastic piece off that covers the screws) that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring.
SOURCE: How do replace heater core in 2002 Pontiac Gran Prix
i do believe you have to take the passengers side dash apart behind the glove compartment. go to autozone and get a manual or go to the library and check the chiltons manual. this is not an easy job. how bad is the leak? if its not bad these heater cores are made of all aluminum. i would buy a bottle of that radiator additive and see if that takes care of the problem first. it only cost about 5 bucks a bottle and it may permanantly fix your problem.

check tranny fluid. if thats good then it sounds like your bands are sticking. go to autozone and buy a bottle of "lucas tranmission additive". this is the best on the market. do not buy the cheap stuff. this "lucas transmission additive" will be rather thick so it will take about 10 minutes to drain into your transmission filler port. drive around for aboud 10-15 minutes and you should be fixed......tell me if this fixes your problem.
