Replaced the alternator recently,Seemd like the battery dies, but once it starts in the morning it'll start all day. Today I went to start it,but it wouldnt start at all. It cranks but it wont start. Its as if the engine isnt gettin gas to it. Maybr fuel pump.
Pull a spark plug after trying to start it, and sniff the plug. If it smells like gas, you are getting fuel. Then check for spark. First leave the gas to dry off the plug. Then with heavy gloves on, or holding the metal body of the plug to the engine block with it plugged into the plug wire, have someone crank it while you look for a bright bluish spark between the electrodes on the plug. If nothing, your problem is ignition rather than fuel. Good luck. Again, make sure the gas has dried from the plug before you try this, and make sure to hold the plug and wire with something insulated. It will give you a serious shock if you don't!
