This won't actually give you 24 volts... All this will do is give you more amps in a traditional circuit. You could run them in a series.... but I wouldn't recommend that. Those batteries are built to provide 12 volts. What do you need 24 volts for?

Crossed poles on starter changing oil filter, starter only clicks one time wont start

very vague info. but possiably 2 issues, 1, shorted battery, remove neg. terminal clamp, recharge with 12 volt charger if it is 12volt , 6 caps= 12volt. 3 caps = 6 volt , look under caps for the number of cells. use appropriate charger. 2 ,starter solonid may need renewel, replace starter. Solonid may be independent of starter, if so replace solonid. Just a guess, maybe a blown fuse also.

My truck keeps cranking over when I take the key out so I have to disconnect the battery an I just can't figure the problem out plz help!!!

check the wiring on the startermotor, should have a large red terminal which will be perminant live 12volt or 24 volt what ever your wagon battery supply is? you can check this with a multimeter. then check a smaller wire to solinoid above this gives a live feed only when key is turned to start position, if voltage on wire then remove from startermotor make sure you dont earth it out on body causing a short. if still turning over on its own its the startermotor faulty, if stops look for starter relay or key switch faulty.

New battry keeps running down

If your battery runs down when the car is off and not running, then you probably have a 12volt drain
killiongthe battery. If your problem occurs even when the car is being driven and used, then your alternator may be the culprit, it may not be charging enough. Attach a voltmeter across the + and - battery terminals. Start the car and let it idle without any accessories on. If you get a reading somewhere between 13.75 - 14.75 volts, your alternator is ok.
To check for a 12volt drain, disconnect the negative battery terminal and slowly scrape it on
the negative battery post 3-4 times. If you see any light to medium sparking as you do that, you probably have a 12volt drain killing the battery. BTW, don't be afraid of being shocked, no chance of that. This is extremely light voltage we're taking about here. Any 12volt drain is best left to a professional to trace down. Oh yes, a defective new battery is possiblity, but highly unlikely.

My 96 cavalier, showed engine light was running fine. it lost all power so put a rebuilt alternator in it and it ran for two more days fine. lost everything again, had alternator and battery...

need to do a battery draw test. remove the negative cable from the battery, and clip a test light to each connection of this cable and battery. with the key out of the ignition there should not be a light on in the test light, if there is, remove the fuses one by one to find the circuit that is draining the battery. also keep in mind that an over charging altinator can give this symptom. the altinator should be as follows.
no less than 12volt
and no more than 14.5 volt. any higher can over charge the battery and fry it out, as well as give too much voltage to the computer of the vehicle. if none of this applies, then there is a wiring problem.

Battery not charging

If all the wiring is OK - have the alternator output checked. A voltmeter connected across the battery terminals should read above 13.5 volts with the engine running. If not - the alternator may need to be replaced.
