It's a bit of a job especially if you live in the north where road salt is a factor. You have to remove the brake calipers, then lock-out, then the hub, (special tool required). Then the spindle, which is usually rusted in and can be a bugger. Disconnect the tie rod, (picklefork required) or stike the arm from the side with a big hammer, this flexes the taper just enough to make the tie rod end pop out of the arm. Then you can pull the axel out to gain access to the nut for the lower ball joint, loosen the nut but don't take it all the way off. Remove the top ball joint nut, now using your big hammer stike the lower part of spindle support from the side as close as possible to the lower ball joint, here again you want to flex the taper and make the joint pop out. You will have to do the same on the top ball joint and work back and forth between the two. The top one usually comes apart easy be careful not to damage the adjusting cam on the top ball joint. Once you have the spindle support removed you need to press the ball joints out, there is a special tool that like a big "C" clamp that wiil push the old ones out and the new ones in. Good luck!
Unbolt it and get hold of a "PICKLE-FORK" to drive the 2 pieces apart, they sell them at most auto parts outlets
