The engine should be separated from the trans at least 1 "and the torqu convert slid into the trans. There may be a dowel pin on each side. That is wh the one inc.
Testimonial: "thank you for all your help. I have done all taht yousaid i guess it will just have to be pryed away from the tranny"
Drewer;
I know its frustrating but , separating the two is morea matter of making sure the come straight apart. once the converter bolts/nut and studs a slid back from the flexplate and all the trans bolts are out, They atre bot separate pieces. Make sure they are straight with each other and the pilot dowels would make no diffefference in seperating, they are bot interference fit dowels . Make sure there are no lines like vacuum or or a ground strap or wire harness going to the trans. Make sure the trans fill tube isn't secured to the engine. and nothing is bolted to the pan bolts like cooler lines. Other than that, I can't imsgine what it could be. Go completely around the engine top and bottom .Block the trans and lower the motor. that should creat a gap you can slip a screwdriver into and the raise the motor leaving the screwdriver in place. That should open the bottom. and repeat the screwdriver thing insrting it further and further in alternating between tp and bottom That will work it off the dowels.

yes i have the motor mounts off and there dont seem to be any pressure points to pry between the block and the transmission
yeah i have done all that. there just aint no pry points to pry it apart. it is stuck and wont break loose. I cant get an inch to get it loosened
Thy should have dowel pins so you are gonna have to pry apart but do you have the mounts off or loose?
