HOW DO YOU REMOVE FRONT DOME-MAP LIGHT HOUSING

how did these lights come on before, did you have to manually switch them no the housing or did they come on by opening the car doors. It looks like you may have a problem with the switch configurations and wiring connections to the new light housing

there are clips on the front and back for the housing of the light on the gray piece i have a truck that had the same lights on it that is what worked for me

There is a short between the dome light and the door switches, this can be caused by something as simple as water damage. check all the wires and switches before you think it is the BCM.

Instructions

Shift the Camry's transmission into park and rotate the ignition to the "OFF" position. Apply the parking brake.

Insert the tip of a small flat-head screwdriver between the dome light cover and the dome light housing.

Pry the dome light cover away from the dome light housing until it separates and pops loose.

The front dome lamp & map lamps are replaced from the back, they are 1/4 turn bulb holders.

The overhead console ( non rail ) is held on with spring clips. Open the rear compartment, and in each corner grab the console with your thumb and index finger and pull down. The 1st time you remove it, it is very hard to pull down, the springs are very stiff.

The rail system, the service manual says to pull the overhead bins 1st, then pull the consoles out ( also spring clips )

Locate the two screws on theinside of the light mount and remove them with the screwdriver. 5. Remove the plastic domelight fixture to access the connector attached to the bulb. 6. Detach the connector fromthe dome light bulb. The dome light fixture can now be removed.

how do u turn interior light of with door open?

Insert a flat blade screwdriver in slot at the center of the lamp housing, rotate screwdriver upward and unsnap dome lamp lens. Pull lens downward and remove it from lamp housing.
