Sound like a short or high resistance caused by an in complete intermittanant connection. Did it buzZ while you were using the raising/lowering the window?
Drain the transmission fluid into a clean container once it is all drained tip it into another container slowly and look for a metalic shine to it and at the bottom of container 1 if there is any fillings, bits of teeth then sadly you will have to remove your transmission and get it overhauled , but if your oil is clean and free of any metal refill your transmission with new oil and have a look at your drive shaft then back to your rear drive train as some times vibrations and noises can be amplified through your vehicle
i would inspect the trans mount it may be bent, reverse is a big strain on the drivetrain and if it's not aligned properly this could be your problem, look for the post on the cross member that has arubber bushing on the bottom,if it's not centered its hitting the mount as for the steering column noise i'm thinking this noise maybe the clock spring this is part of the air bag system, the spring can be weak and in turn rubs on casing causing noise, believe it or not the engine noise your describing is a normal operating noise!
Hello, there is a very good chance that the large hose connecting the intake to the air box tube is still disconnected in some way. If so, don't worry, even the pros do it. I just did it on my 98 GT the other day. If this is not your problem, double check that you didn't disturb one or more of your spark plug wires, either on your coil or maybe they were slightly pulled up and out of your spark plug tube holes. I hope this info helps...(subytech1)...
If the front brakes were ok, I would have a look at a possible wheel bearing problem. Does the problem change noises at different speeds or is the problem only heard when breaking.
