Shakes?or shacks?Let's just say that you mean shake.If your brake pedal pulsates,replace the rotors.If your steering wheel shakes(low speed)broken belt in front tire.Jack up one tire enough to clear the ground,spin it.Spins nice,lower and jack up the other.Spin that one,if the belt is broke it'll be very noticable.While up in the air check the lug nuts,if they're loose it can make the steering shake too.If the shake is at highway speed,bad shocks or tie rods or ball joints or a combination of these.Jack up a front tire and try to move it(Key turned off to lock steering).If it moves top to bottom,ball joint.Side to side,tie rod.Doesn't move,shocks.The worst could be a bad hub bearing,but you'd hear it and you said nothing about any noise.

My chevy silverado 2500 shakes like crazy when i hit a bump on the road

Your steering damper that controls the steering system's lateral motion is a shock absorber mounted to the steering components under the vehicle. This is most likely the cause of the shaking. Also inspect the tie rod ends and all other suspension systems for possible failure.
The damper looks like this with the replacement hardware;

I have a Land Rover Discovery 97 that gets a bad wobble in front end at 55 mph, only happens when driven over bumps or uneven pavment.

It will be the steering damper, now, if you have replaced this recently, then the damper is propably fitted at the wrong angle, instead of being straight ( horizontal ) it should be pointing down at an angle. If you have not changed the steering damper, then i suggest that you do. In my experience, i would not recommend Monroe steering dampers fror Land Rover, try to get Old Man Emu,, Bilstein or Woodhead, or if there is a Britpart supplier, i can recommend the Cellular Dynamic. Hope that helps

Front end shacking when I run over small bump in road.

If it is still under warranty take it to the dealer. You could have at a minimum have thrown the weights off the tires. But anything like tie rod ends or belts in the tires could be bad.

1990 cherokee shakes badly only at 50-55mph

Check the front steering damper. The steering damper is a shock that is mounted horizontaly in the front. The damper is bad if you see oil leaking from it or if the car has high mileage and never been replaced.

Steering whel vibration isuzu bighorn 3.1d 1992 auto

Some SUV's have a steering damper. This is like a telescopic shock absorber that is attached to the steering idler arm at one end and the chassis at the other. If the bighorn has one this may be the cause of the problem. It took me months to find a severe steering vibration problem on a Range Rover. I replaced the damper, which was quite inexpensive, and the problem went away.
