2006 Dodge Caravan SE Interior light flashes and can hear clicking noise under dash. Pulling fuse 24 HZD LP fuse located in the intergrated power module will stop the problem. This fuse powers the Body control module and instrument cluster. My suspicions are that the BCM is faulty. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this problem.

My suspicions are that the BCM is faulty ????? Before condemning the BCM Suggest you have a qualified repair shop check it out . Doesn't sound like you know a whole lot about automotive electronic's ! We in the profession don't guess ,we test . Hooking up a professional type or factory scanner to see if the BCM will talk with the tool . If it does more then likely nothing is wrong with it . An if it doesn't talk with the scanner ,still doesn't mean it's bad . Finding a wiring diagram an checking power an grounds would be the next step. Checking for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes would be another step if the BCM communicates with the scanner . So do yourself a favor before replacing parts you have no clue about ,have a qualified repair shop check it . I only say this because if you knew anything you would view a wiring diagram an test the electrical circuit's for fuse #24 . Seeing what all it power's up .I see problems like this daily ,working at Chrysler , dodge ,jeep dealer . An people trying to fix it them self ,make it worst .

SOURCE: 97 Dodge Caravan Auto-Shutdown Problem

Been working on my dad's 97 Caravan longer then i can remember for things you mentioned and have been not able to get him to sell it.
I found that the electrical connections are prone to corrosion and have replaced lots of the wire and pin connection in the wire harness, thank god i have time on my hands.
The instrument panel where the wire harness connects, i found that the solder goes bad and i had to re solder the connector on the back side of the circuit board, where the harness goes so you need to remove the instrument panel from the dash,
Here is a link that can help you retrieve DTC codes and do research on your caravan. I'ld tell you everything what i needed to do to keep my dad's caravan running but that would be a novel. http://www.allpar.com/fix/stall.html

Good luck and keep me posted, glad to help you keep yours running too.

SOURCE: instrument cluster inoperative, transmission shifting problems

These vans have had issues with the PIN connections to the instrument clusters. With time the solder on the main PIN connection will begin to fail. The good news this may be repaired at home. First you'll need to remove the instruments. To do so remove the dash components from around the instruments then the (4) screws) that hold the instruments in place. Carefully detach the wire connection from the back of it; take to a well lit area. Look for a PIN with a failed solder joint (this will appear as a slight black or grey circle. If found apply heat and let solder begin to flow; the allow to cool and reassemble. If you look at my history you'll see I've helped others with this issue. The attached link may help: http://dodgeforum.com/forum/dodge-caravan/197192-99-grand-caravan-intermittent-dead-dashboard.html

As for the transmission I expect this a seperate issue, possibly the BCM but I'd like to review further.
Please let me know if this assisted you,
Tom

SOURCE: instrument cluster bulb is out. how do i replace

It may not be a bulb, as the instrument cluster usually has a number of bulbs and they probably didn't all blow at once. Pulling instrument clusters can be touchy and may not be for the average "shadetree mechanic" however, typically there are a few screws above the cluster going into the dash pad and a few hidden behind the trim panels below the cluster.

Just look in your Manual and find the fuse that controls your interior lights. check the relay for the interior lights, if you have one ! the clicking has to be a relay for interior lights. good-day !
