Hello

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam (separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal adjustment screws as well

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.

ADJUSTMENT

HEADLIGHT AIMING

    • Vehicle is parked on level ground.
    • The inflation pressure of tires is correct.
    • Vehicles gas tank is fully charged.
    • Bounce the vehicle several times to normalize the suspension.
    • Make certain that someone is seated in the driver s seat. Turn the headlights on and then adjust the low beam pattern to the following positions on the screen.
  1. Position the headlight beam leveler switch to "0" .

HEADLIGHT AIMING



CAUTION: Turn off the light before adjusting headlight aiming. If the light is necessary to check aiming, do not turn on for more than two minutes .
NOTE:
Before checking the headlight aiming, be sure of the following:
  • The area around the headlight has not sustained any accident, damage or other type of deformation.
  • Vehicle is parked on level ground.
  • The inflation pressure of tires is correct.
  • Vehicle's gas tank is fully charged.
  • Bounce the vehicle several times to normalize the suspension.
  • Make certain that someone is seated in the driver's seat.
  1. Place a cloth over the headlight that does not require aiming adjustment.
  2. Turn the headlights on. Perform the aiming adjustment for the other headlight as follows:

CAUTION: Do not perform lateral headlight aiming adjustment.There you are, the procedure from Subaru manual.

2007 GMC Sierra 2500HD - adjust headlight aim, mine is too high
every headlamp has two adjusting set screws. One for vertical and horizontal. They are normally a torx driver socket that will turn these screws. If you have a garage use the garage door at night to set the beams reflecting off the door. Centering the truck to a center mark on the door would be helpful when you make the adjustments. That way your headlamps should aim evenly. Please note if your driveway is not level jack up the trucks rear end to make it so. Hi, i have no idea if this will help you or not, but, on the 1997 grand cherokee, if you look at the headlight itself, look to the outer edge, over the top ontop of the headlight there is a white allen key hole, not sure on the size, this, basically is the up and down adjuster for the headlight, sorry if it doesn't help but i've just had to adjust mine, and thats where it is, the one towards the radiator is the in and out, it pushes or pulls the headlight offcentre

Adjust the headlight beam on 2002 Subaru Outback
two screws on each headlight control the direction the headlights are aimed. One screw, usually at the top but sometimes below the headlight, adjusts the headlight up and down. The other screw, located to one side, controls the headlight from right to left. Turning the appropriate screw one direction or the other will change the direction the headlight points.
In order to aim your headlights you need to have a flat vertical surface you can aim your headlights at in front of a level surface on which to park the car. If your driveway is level your garage door is the perfect place to aim your headlights.
The tools you will need for this job are simple. Masking tape is used to mark where the headlights are to be aimed and a screwdriver is needed to adjust the headlights. A tape measure will be necessary to measure the distance of the vehicle to the surface you're using to check the aim and to measure the up and down distances from your marks

Adjusting headlights on a 2005 ford freestar
hello wwhampton,

open the hood, take a close look at your headlights, if it is a headlight assembly, there are two screws with big plastic heads on the back of the assembly, these are the adjusting screws. one for horizontal adjustment and the other one is for vertical adjustment.

if the headlight is a round or square ordinary bulb, the adjusting screws are located near the bulb itself, these are philips screws. one on the top and one on the side.

a suggestion; when adjusting headlights, face the car to a wall about 5 ft away and adjust the headlight.
