Check your gas cap, if loose it will set off lite, tighten cap and after a time it will reset itself and go out after a few key cycles... I have seen it take a day or two though sometimes...

you have to vent the air in the injection pump crack the injector pipes and crank the engine till fuel come out then re secure the pipes it will start then
Yeah it can safely run without a thermostat, but it will probably have a check engine light on later for code P018--engine temp too cold for too long. The engine will perform better with the thermostat and will get better fuel economy with the thermostat in place.
To start with, most models have a fuel pump relay that gives the pump voltage until the computer sees that the engine is running. Sounds like the computer is not knowing the engine is running, so there is no power to the pump after it starts. It could also be something with the anti-theft system. Is the check engine light on ?
oil check oil. when light on dash comes on that means your jeep has a code for ya. take to auto zone and they will read the code for free with a code reader.
I took the vehicle to the Jeep dealership, and the problem went away before they could check it out. They are going to check wiriing next, because the check engine light went out on its own, and the fuel gage began working corectly on its own. Not sure what caused it, but hope to have an answer from the dealer.

when refueled the light should reset. Turn on ign on the "on" position pump acell pedal 7-10 times. Turn ign off then on and start the vehicle, This might help
