Gauges stopped working in my 2003 silverado 4X4. I do not have a diagram of the fuse blocks

IS this a one time issue? IF so when the battery dies and is jump started, the voltages can be spiked or sag and this causes issues with the electronics in the boards. When you pull the fuse and put it back you are resetting it and not letting drop or sag or spikes happen. If the issue keeps happening then you need to look at for issues with bad connections on the boards or the BCM

YOU HAVE A BAD CLUSTER ..GM IS NOTORIOUS FOR THIS .CHECK ON A RECALL.IF NOT THEIR ARE PEOPLE ON EBAY YOU CAN SEND IT TO AND THEY WILL FIX ALL GAUGES AND PUT IN ALL NEW LIGHTS FOR 70 TO 90 BUCKS OTHER WISE A SPEEDO WILL SET YOU BACK 300 BUCKS OR SO.

Hi, I have seen this happen a few times on the Silverado. If all fuses are good, more then likely you have a short at the small circuit board under the steering wheel inside, just under the ignition switch. In fact it is the main part to the ignition switch that will cause this. If you take the covers off from around it to get to the bottom of the switch, you will see where all of your wires, around 15 to 17 go. Tap on this board and watch the gauges jump back and forth. It will take some time, but I am sure this is the problem if a fuse isn't blown. Please let me know.

recall but u have to pay for it if your suburban is over 70,000 miles it has to go to a dealer it about 450.00 it sucks my 2003 2500HD as problem.

Check the guage/dash fuse in the fuse panel

Here you go. Under hood fuse block
Ign. Fuse E
and
ipc/dic
both fuses are 10 amp

you may want to trace the fuse for the instrument panel check the voltage on it ,take juice from some other fuse and help it ,for more options you may want to trace both ground and power to the back of the instrument cluster,if fuse has no power relay or bad wire may be the fault

I had all my analog instrument panel gauges stop working after they did the state emissions test. I found the proper fuse in the fuse block located under the hood. Simply unplugged the fuse, noticed it was still good, and plugged the same fuse (10A) back in and all the gauges started working again. Guess it needed a reset atfer they plugged in for the emissions.

I have a ford f 250 4x4 2003 and my horn doesnt work and the overhead compass/information instrument will not turn on. the airbag light blinks a few times them stays on. whats the deal?

In my case, simply removing and reseating the IPC/DIC fuse restored the gauges to full functionality.
